There was nothing that bothered us at all.

Barbara's breakfasts were great. The location of the Ibis is perfect for sight-seeing, etc. Barbara guided us to all of the best restaurants for dinners and also the dinner we had at the Ibis on the Sunday was perfect. Her suggestions on further sight-seeing excursions were spot on.

The room was a little warm at night, but opening the window and turning on the fan fixed it.

A wonderful stay in an old farm house, complete with free access to a pool and easy walking distance to everything in the town. The real star of The Ibis Lounge is the restaurant though. Barbara is an epic cook, and you've got to try the thoughtful and beautifully executed Karoo Experience tasting menu as part of your stay. Remember to ask about their honey harvested from their very own on-site apiary! An awesome example of SA hospitality done right, we'll be back for sure.

We stayed for two nights and there was no offer to service the room. The common area/lounge was a bit dark and uninviting. These were minor issues - everything else was fine.

The sliding door to the bathroom in our room could not slide all the way closed without coming off the rails. One had to then force the door closed off the rails. It was really heavy and difficult for me to get the door back on the rails to open the door enough again to get out of the bathroom. I was travelling with a male friend and we are not romantic partners so privacy when showering and going to the toilet was important.

I loved the outdoor dining area and the decor of the lodge in general. The breakfast was great and the dinner was truly superb. I will back just to eat dinner there again! Barbara was a friendly, efficient and welcoming host. She was great! My bed was comfortable and the room was sweet. Any place that allows me to stay with my 2 little dogs is an absolute winner. The enclosed garden was great for the doggies to run around in. The location was central and so convenient to get to The Owl House, the brewery,Boetie's pub, and other attractions in Nieu Bethesda. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 is because of the bathroom door, which was a real pain.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Ibis Lounge. Even before we arrived, we were given so much information on how we can enjoy the town to its fullest. The town truly is a hidden gem. We were received with a very warm welcome, taken to a spacious and comfortable room, and had the most wonderful dinner at their restaurant. I would highly recommend this pet friendly place, we will definitely make this our routine stop-over place on our way to the Garden-Route.

Nieu Bethesda is a hidden Gem in the Karoo, We absolutely loved our stay at The Ibis Lounge and the incredible Karoo food experience at the Stirling restaurant. Our room was very spacious with sliding doors to a patio and swimming pool, which was very welcomed on a very hot karoo day. We only wished we had more time to explore Nieu Bethesda. Thankyou Barbara and team for your warm hospitality.

Everything! The Ibis Lounge has everything you need and more for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Nieu- Bethesda. We were welcomed with open arms by our host Barbara, our room was superb and the facilities of the guest house were wonderful. The Ibis Lounge is a perfect destination if you are travelling with your Fur Baby, overall Nieu-Bethesda was very accommodating of having a dog accompany us on most of our activities and excursions. We had dinner at Stirlings - restaurant part of Ibis Lounge. We had the 6 course Karoo experience and the experience was fantastic, service was also fantastic! We will be definitely be back one day!
