The hotel was very noisy, you could hear everyone walking in the hallway, the opening and closing of other rooms, guests talking in other rooms. In addition to that, the beds were too small for an average lengthy person.

The location was really good, in the Main Street of the city, close to all restaurants and shops with enough parking space in front of the hotel. Breakfast was good.

We loved the hotel, the location was great and the staff very welcoming. Unfortunately, my husband’s camera was stolen from our room whilst we were at the beach. It was locked in our room , and the room was still locked on our return. We made a police report and the hotel staff said they would claim on their insurance. They have refused to pay our claim as they said there was no sign of a break in and my husband signed an indemnity form( which he has no memory of). Clearly, a member of staff or someone with room access entered our room and took the camera. I would warn anyone choosing to stay here, to not leave any valuables in their room.

No backup generator when loadshedding so you sit in the dark with an emergency light...not on for what we paid! No lounge ...so stuck in one room when it rained- i thought a hotel and a four star rating at that should at least have a lounge? Noisy! A restaurant is above the larger suites which you pay a premium for and the noise starts at 6.15am in the morning. Suites on ground level are at road level so ongoing noise during the night. Expensive rate for no facilities.

The room was nicely furnished. Only one suite has the Seaview..ours had a road view. They should make that room a lounge for the hotel guests.

No reserved parking during your stay. Restaurant open to the public, limited tables available when you go for your inclusive breakfast in the mornings. Staff need to sharpen their game.

This hotel has no generator backup in the event of power failure, an absolute necessity for a South African hotel. The noise from the nightclub across the road very disturbing at night.

The load shedding really effected our stay. This area suffers from the highest volume of load sheddding, therefore it effected our stay massively as the hotel does NOT have a generator!!! Also please check your bill upon check out, as this hotel will add on extras!!!!!

1. Towels, need to be replaced with a fluffier towel, felt like we were drying with a piece of cloth 2. Clean room better, like under the bed 3. If you dont have things in mini bar, take it off as something thats in room. Its just fridge thats empty 4. Loadshedding has been around for a while and yet there is just 1 chargable light per room, atleast 2 lights per room and maybe lights to light up the stairs. Some need electricity to sleep at night, sleep apnea machine!! 5. Put room keys on tag or lanyard, they can get misplaced so easily 6. Parking is a big issue

during load shedding nothing works not even a light. all 5 other hotels I stayed at during this trip at least had a small inverter so basic functions of lights and internet worked. the balcony had no furniture, wasted space as pointless

location and was clean. good choice of breakfast however staff in the cafe were so unorganised and took 30 mins just to get a coffee

Nobody present at reception in afternoons and evenings- as guests you are on your own - no contact number given. The noise from the restaurant which backs onto the bedroom is so unpleasant. The breakfast room serves outside guests as a coffee shop so it is manic in the mornings and very noisey and u have to wait for your breakfast. My mothers room was very dark with little natural light. The location is in the main road so parking is an issue

The bedroom furnishings were beautiful however the outside and surrounding noise spoilt the stay.

the coffee shop was above our room - room 7. every time a chair or table was moved we could here it. was fine in the afternoon, but at 6am it woke us up. bathroom windows need frosting - they are at street level

the room was in the basement. the rain gutter was broken, causing water to drop on our terrace which was incredibly load. we were unable to sleep due to the loud noise. also the bed was way to short. max. 1,80m!
