The only thing we could fault was the cleanliness of the small private pool that came with our room. We didn’t use it as it didn’t look very inviting.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The hotel has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The honesty bar was a really cute touch and added to that ‘home from home’ feel. The breakfast was excellent and extremely generous-it includes everything you could think of. We also loved the tranquil pool area and the gorgeous garden. We would love to return!

Truthfully, nothing really. You have to know it's located in Constantia in the Southern Suburbs, so if you are looking to explore downtown Cape Town, likely not the best location. But again, beyond that, highly recommend it.

Having lived in Cape Town for five years is important context, which is why we decided to stay at The Last Word. The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and courteous, and anything we needed we received. The included breakfast was excellent, and overall, I highly recommend The Last Word.

Coffee was a hit or miss situation. WiFi kept requesting a sign in after day one when we had already registered on it.

Breakfast was great, fresh with a variety of options. The staff were amazing. Beautiful garden, perfect setting as you sip your morning tea. Staff were friendly and helpful providing us with suggestions to explore the city which has a lot to offer.

Nice place but too expensive for what it offers. Seems to be a little outdated. Hospitality was good but not as good as the Last word in Franschhoeck was.

The room was exceptional, it was light spacious and extremely comfortable. The garden is beautiful, the pool area has lots of comfortable beds and umbrellas for shade when the sun is overhead. The breakfast was excellent with everything taken to your table and eggs cooked to perfection. The staff are also exceptional.

Superb boutique hotel in wonderful surroundings. Personal touches and great conversation with staff. Great location for access to wine-lands and top quality restaurants. Amongst the top hotels I’ve stayed at around the world. I look forward to trying some of the other hotels in the group. Very impressive.

Wonderful, peaceful environment. The garden is well maintained and looking great in spring. The staff were friendly and very willing to go the extra mile. The best feature was the private garden next to the bathroom - a huge window made it feel like you were in a miniature forest!

This boutique hotel is so tranquil with lovely gardens and spacious suites. The location is perfect to explore the many great wine farms in the area. A must to visit. The breakfasts are amazing and beautifully presented. Could not fault anything. We will be back
