There is a racist lady that lives at the hotels. I found her in the corridors picking up trash and her comments were whites wouldn’t do this. This is not a place for blacks. She further harassed me regarding my fake hair and questioned whether I am a man or woman. That is unacceptable!

When I arrived at night I wasn’t let in to the property because the person at reception at the time said he wasn’t expecting any guests. Keep in mind this was at nine thirty at night. Finally the security guard let me in. In the end my booking was found but all the reception staff was either drunk or high. Other than that the rest of my stay was very pleasant

The room didn't look anything like the photos I saw on Google, but it's fine because it was very comfortable and I didn't need much more. The road next to the room is very busy, cars are constantly driving by, but I know they can't do much about this. It definitely won't stop me from coming back again.

We were welcomed like old friends and I felt at home when we arrived. The room was super comfortable and clean. Everyone staying there is also super friendly, the place has a great vibe! The security helped us out late at night when we wanted to park my car inside and they were super friendly about it. We will definitely be back, thank you.

The furniture is a bit old and rugged in the room but that can be looked past. The echoes from outside and the hall were a bit distracting when trying to sleep.

The staff were extremely friendly and we were welcomed like family. They even upgraded our room which was a lovely surprise!

I was missing a table to sit on on the room or the personal part of the balcony. The table light was rather bright. The balcony is shared with 4 rooms and accessible for everyone via two doors on both sides. Every room balcony has two wooden fences (which you can look through), giving you a bit of privacy, but there is a 'walk way" at the side. Thus if you have the curtains open (to let in light) people can (and will) just look into your room, leaving you with no privacy at all.

The staff were really kind and helpful, the view from our balcony was rather nice, which showed half of table mountain. The location feels safe. We had ordered breakfast one day and it was plenty. There is a wonderful Thai restaurant just around the corner that we rather enjoyed, with really wonderful waiters as well. The beds are a bit hard, but good for me. There is a ventilator, a fridge, and a sink. Downstairs there is a big common room with access to the kitchen, but you can just as easily eat out (tip for cheap food: Eastern Bazar). On the floor with the balcony rooms there are two shared toilets and two shared showers (one shower-room having two open showers next to each other, great for couples). There is a gate with a pin-code to get onto the property, and a friendly security guy always when we came in and out. When walking to the centre take the VOC gardens route, squirrels, rats, ducks, and a lot of shade and plants. Overall it's a nice Victorian-styled building (mainly from the inside) and we enjoyed our stay.

The staff have no control over the tenants, it's noisy and not clean. On top of room no 3, there's no concrete slab. It's a wooden floor, the tenant's on top makes noise at night jumping and singing. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants peace of mind

Second trip to Lenox was rather costly. From mornings with cold water or no water at all in the entire building or unstable WiFi. These were the disappointing to my stay.

The General manager always checks if your stay is still good. The staff is always smiling. There's peace and quiet in the evenings. The location is a walk away from the shopping center and the busy streets in kloof and long street. CBD is a walk away too! I would live here on a long term basis. The food is home cooked fresh tasty meals.

The dirtiness of the place, even prison cells are probably better than this place, should be removed from bookings.com.

There is actually nothing I liked about this venue and I don 't even know the criteria that the property meets to be on bookings.com. This place is so inhumane, very dirty and I am even feeling sick and all allergies from this place.
