If I were to nit picky I would pass onto the owners that perhaps the downstairs couch needs a re puff as the seating cushions are becoming thin and one can end up sitting on a wooden plank.

The lodge is ideally.situated and the views are stunning. The lodge has beautifully appointed bedrooms en suite. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Farouk was at his attentive best.

Nothing at all

I loved everything about the lodge, it is big and spacious, very beautiful, loved the decor, the rooms, the bathrooms, living spaces. We were 6 people, 2 sets of couples and 2 kids. Farouk took great care of us from the moment we arrived and explained things clearly. We even tried canoeing for the first time and had fun, the walks to the top of crocodile hill and view point were amazing. Valley lakes lodge is a place to be away from the busy life. I was happy with the lack of phone network cause we could detach from the "noise".

Everything was perfect. Beautiful house on the lake. Stunning bathrooms and bedrooms. I loved everything about the place. The house was very clean and fresh. Exactly as in the pictures. Farouk, the helper on site, was awesome. He was absolutely helpful and pleasant. Great place. Peaceful for relaxation. Beautiful boma.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF YOU HAD A FIRE PLACE UPSTAIRS. AS IT GETS VERY VERY COLD ASLO PLEASE LOOK INTO PUTTING ELECTRIC BLANKETS IN THE FUTHER. AND TO TOP IT ALL YOUR ASSISANT MR FAROUK WAS SUPER ON THE BALL FROM THE TIME I DROVE IN. HE SAW WE HAD KIDS AND MY MOTHER IN LAW THAT WAS OLD. HE GOT THE FIRE PLACE UP AND RUNNING IN NO TIME, NY GOD BLESS HIM. MY FAMILY AND I ARE VERY GREATFUL. MY 2 DAUGHTER AGED 9 AND 11 SAID TO ME PAPA WE ONLY WANT TO VALLEY LAKES FROM NOW ON... I wouldn't say i did not like this but we struggled using with the wifi. This was a bit of an inconvenience because there is no signal in the area so we were depending on the wifi. We had bad weather so we worried about our cars not being under cover.

I liked everything, especially the interior and the view from our room. The house was in great condition, it suited our little family. I also liked the remote location, one is really away from the noise.

Bugs attracted to the light, but it's not a major problem. Some of the bedding was not clean.

The house is modern, and spacious and exceeded all expectations. The area is both remote and peaceful for a weekend away from the city. The decor is warm and inviting, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Check- in process was very simple and we were well accommodated throughout our stay.

The cottage was impeccably decorated and super comfortable. Cooking in the kitchen, dining at the large dining table and sipping on wine in the upstairs space with a beautiful view of the dam perfected our days. Farouk manages the property well and is knowledgeable about the area and suggested many hiking trails. We enjoyed the space so much and did not want to leave - this is definitely a home away from home and the perfect space to recharge.
