We are touring South Africa for the first time. I have hand picked some lovely places to stay in however the “Lookout” run by a lovely couple is truly exceptional. The views are stunning and the interior has been designed with much thought. Breakfast and especially the scrambled eggs is a delight.

Only thing missing was a swimming pool. However if staying for more than one night excellent swimming facilities exist 5 minutes away either in the sea or the huge water park.

Everything was so well organised, from the website , to the communication with the owners. Elzanne and Herman were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The location of the guest house with views over the harbour and bay was ideal. Secure parking was next to the house. A delicious breakfast was professionally prepared and served on the sunny veranda overlooking the town.Bedroom was large with a TV, fridge, aircon and a large bathroom with a shower. Guests also have access to a large lounge with comfy seating, TV and pool table. The room also had a well stocked honesty bar.

Exquisite views, very comfortable rooms and facilities with a kitchen, bar and lounge to make use of. the area of the guest house is beautiful and safe to go for a run. The hosts were amazing and so accommodating which makes a lot of difference.

Nothing!

They one night we stayed at The Lookout had been very good and completely relaxing. Elzanne and Herman are great and very kind hosts! We liked it there a lot and had excellent service from both of them. It is very clean and ideally located to explore Mossel Bay. Nothing to complain. My girlfriend still dreams about the avocado & egg toast for breakfast ;-) We would always come back without hesitation. Thanks again!!

That is definitely our top 1 accommodation we had in South Africa! I can only recommend staying there and enjoying lovely atmosphere. The hosts are genuinely friendly and make you feel very welcomed. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The view is a dream. Breakfast was super yummy, served on the terrace. I so regret we stayed there only one night. It is a lovely place.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The hosts are so lovely, super helpful with places to visit. They have thought of every detail to make your stay the most comfortable and perfect experience. Absolutely gorgeous accommodation for very good value. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming full of local recommendations which were gratefully received as we had a great meal out. Place was spotless and we were gutted we had only booked the one night them. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nothing to complain about..

From the welcoming to the good bye - everything was perfect. The house is more like a villa with an amazing view of Mossel Bay. The owners of the guesthouse welcomed us with a drink and gave us recommendations about what to do in Mossel Bay and where to go for drinks and food. The room was really beautiful and modern, the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed a day with strolling around in Mossel Bay and having drinks and a nice diner. The breakfast ist also lovely, freshly made by the hosts. We would come back to the lookout guesthouse when in Western Cape just to relax a bit at this wonderful place.
