An admin error within the hotel team meant that our room had been cancelled prior to our arrival. We had to wait for some time for a room to be allocated and prepared.

To be honest, for the cost, the suite did not quite meet expectations. The upgrade I selected on Booking.com clearly stated an external seating area / balcony. Many other suites and rooms had these but we did not.

Very smooth arrival and check-in at a hotel that has a hint of the Agatha Christie era about it, Very good facilities, restaurant and bar, and very close to many other options as well. Professional and friendly staff - and we were given a slightly later checkout at no extra cost.

The shower water pressure was a bit lacking, the veranda could do with some glamming up, and the robes are too small to fit larger people.

Staff were all lovely, and the restaurant's food was divine and reasonably priced for the quality.. Very convenient location, excellent spa, gorgeous sea views.

A lovely stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service by a dedicated, friendly, professional team. They met our every need with quiet efficiency, including a room upgrade when our shower had problems. We would highly recommend it

There is nothing to dislike.

We just loved everything at The Marine. The staff were delightful, our room was magnificent, we were given a seafacing room when the staff found out it was our 40th wedding anniversary. We had treats in our room and we were treated like royalty by every staff member.

The experience was unbelievable. Great position right on the seafront, close to most restaurants. High level of service from friendly, professional staff. Extremely comfortable room. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious. Wife enjoyed the Spa. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful interleading rooms for a family. Great view and positioning..easy walk to shops, restaurants and straight onto the cliff path with the tidal.pool in front. Lovely tea amd scones in a beautiful sun room. Staff were incredible.

Breakfast was very good but small things to detail lacked I asked for Cream with my scone but the waiter said they didn't have. I would also have enjoyed having a haddock or kipper breakfast with a choice of hot breakfasts one of the two mornings were there The bath salts used on our first night were not replenished for our second night's bath

Excellent location in the centre of town and right on the beautiful cliff path. The property has magnificent sea views and each room is unique and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a luxurious home rather than a hotel room. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a fabulous stay. The hotel restaurant food was superb and offered an extensive selection, however the position of the hotel makes for easy access to a number of great restaurants. Spa treatments were also excellent and the hotel has a very quiet and private pool for guests.
