Close to all the town attractions, lovely rooms with en suite bathrooms, fabulous for large groups and lovely entertainment areas. The fireplace is just awesome for chilly nights. Daily servicing is also great - would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Spectacular house with all amenities you need and on top with beautiful views. A nice extra is that all 5 bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. This makes it great for a group of friends too.

We had an excellent stay at the Oak Tree! The house has beautiful views, the nicest rooms and I could not find a single thing to complain about inside the house! This location is absolutely perfect when visiting Clarens if you like the shopping and the dining! (Everything is in walking distance from the house) We had a 10/10 Clarens stay, would highly recommended this place!

The property is in the perfect location, walking distance from everything. The views are just breathtaking. What a beautiful spacious house. Love that all rooms have on-suite bathrooms. Clean and comfortable for a big group. It was perfect for our family reunion. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back.

Blockout curtains would be ideal for the two rooms facing the mountain, as the sun rises on that side of the house.

Exeptional facilities for a group gathering. Spacious patio with beautiful views. Two sitting areas and a big dining area makes this house ideal for any weather conditions. Beautifully decorated rooms are well equipped, each with own en-suite bathroom.

No iron and switching off WiFi without notification and also that you only get 2 toilet rolls for 3 days per bathroom and they weren’t 500 ply

We had the best weekend ever, it was a birthday celebration. The home is spacious with a very nice kitchen and living area. The inverter and batteries was welcome surprise. The views are amazing We will be back

There was nothing not to like!

Everything about this house is truly amazing. Beautiful views, decor, well-appointed rooms, and a kitchen with everything a large group would need. Within walking distance to the square, literally just up the road! Lovely veranda with comfy seating to admire the views.

loadshedding was at stage 6, which is not the owners fault. hhad long spells without electricity. owner did however send us a schedule so we could work around it

A dishwasher would have made a real difference to the comfort of our stay and a colander would be useful in the kitchen.

I cannot praise this property and location enough. We had a long overdue family get-together here, and from our first landing we were welcomed by the spectacular beauty of the mountains which surround Clarens. The communication from our host Rita was clear and friendly throughout, and she was always available to help with any request or question we might have. We have never been closer to town with all its quaint shops and restaurants, which is only a gentle stroll away. The under-cover patio allows one to sit outside even when it rains, and the large windows frame an ever-changing landscape where one can while the hours away from inside. The open-plan kitchen and living rooms have lovely designated seating areas where groups can congregate around a roaring fire or gas heater on those cold and rainy days, and the large dining room table provides guests the opportunity to feast together over laughter and conversation. All the en-suite bedrooms have luxurious bedding and the whole property is meticulously tidy and clean, lovingly overseen by cleaner Siena. Even games, puzzles and playing cards are stored in the main living room table to keep little ones (and those that are young at heart) entertained. The only thing missing that would have made our stay absolutely perfect is a dishwasher, especially when you have a large group of guests. But I guess a little elbow grease is a small price to pay in such beautiful and lush surroundings.

It is 5star accommodation with all the necessities and luxury needed. It is close to the village which makes is comfortable as there's often no parking. The 5 bedrooms with en-suite is fabulous and gives you privacy. The inside outside living with the view is to die for. I highly recommend The Oaktree House.
