We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe gym equipment can be improved to match the rest of the hotel. The OBH is a premium hotel and as such you would expect premium equipment to be used, such as Technogym.
Beautiful views. The staff are amazing and attentive. The facilities are high class. True luxury. We felt so spoiled and special. The high tea is a must.

South AfricaThe bed and pillows weren't great. This is usually the best part of most hotel stays. We thought that considering how small the rooms were, an armchair and ottoman was a waste of space that could have been used for storing bags etc.
The staff were absolutely phenomenal. The food was phenomenal. The facilities are beautiful. The views are fantastic.

South AfricaBooking.com is awful. There is no coherence between bookings with hotel - dinner reservations booked with booking.com never made with the hotel. Incredibly disappointed with booking.com. And booking car rental through you is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - NEVER AGAIN
Thanks Booking.Com - we did not request a quiet room or any business centre usage. To be very honest I am incredibly disappointed with booking.com I’ve reserved dinners at the Oyster Box for my birthday - of which they had no idea. Have booked car rentals - absolute nightmare and disaster.

AustraliaExceptional service as always, meet with smiles and wine in our room and a personal welcome back from the manager. We were provided with a special dining experience on our balcony with flowers for valentines day which was also our anniversary. The hotel somehow knew this and provided us with a plate of desserts and complementary sparkling wine. The food as always was exceptional, the service in the roof top bar was brilliant both nights and we got to sit in amazing places with a view of the lighthouse in-front of us. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff always looking to please. We spent an afternoon around the front pool and the staff were also exceptional, we were swimming when our drinks were ready and they delivered them into our hands while swimming. Towel provided as we got out of the pool and water given at all times of the day. Love the turn down service, the room was clean and beautiful and i love the size of the bath which in the evening the staff put candles around. I love my stays at the oyster box and cannot thank all the staff enough for taking care of us so much and Nicole for organising all our extras with her great staff. Cannot wait for next years visit already, thank-you Oyster box for making more magic memories for myself and Wayne ♥️

Loved everything!! It’s an iconic hotel portraying a glorious tribute to a bygone era . The decor is stunning , particularly loved the Lighthouse bar and having a room with a Seaview balcony is a must . Loved sitting on the outside terrace I overlooking the pool for breakfast and the food was amazing !
