Absolutely loved my stay and can’t wait to be back as soon as possible. The Honey House was absolutely gorgeous for solo writer’s retreat, the Noka Spa was the best massage and full body treatment I’ve ever had! The river and whole estate is a joy and honor to be able to explore! Just book!

There wasn't anything to complain about, the road on site was a little bit rough, especially if you have a lower car you might struggle a bit, we had a jimny so we were A OK. Road to Zwakala from Haenertsburg is just fine.

Everything, our unit had a secret bathtub hidden away under a beautiful tree, there's a brewery on site which was great. The surroundings are stunning!

The road to the location is bumpy, gravel road. Not too bad though, it’s ideal to have a 4x4 vehicle

We didn’t know it was so cold and we weren’t sure how to light up the fire so in the morning inside it was really chilly

No Microvwave in the unit. The dirt route is a bit difficult with a small car.

I loved the fact that it was in a remote area, hidden away in the bushes. It felt private and exclusive. it was beautiful to be surrounded by so much nature.

Not much- however there were bees roaming around and looks like they are trying to create a beehive.

The property looked exactly as pictures. We enjoyed being right in the woods , listening to the birds, insects etc. We truly enjoyed the quietness of the place.

The only issue I had was that there could be an extra hook or 2 in the bathroom closer to the shower and a shelf or table space to put toiletries. The kitchen also needs an additional workspace perhaps in the form of a fold-out shelf.

Absolutely loved the design and location. It is the perfect blend of being out in nature while still feeling safe and having the necessities and luxuries you need.

I loved everything about this place. The environment, the scenery, the walks. The bed 🛌, bath 🛀, the kitchen though they need to add a microwave For it’s self catering cabins. 🥰

Everything 🥰💋❤️. They just need to state on their website that no small cars because the road is quite gravy and too bumpy. Please inform fishers that fishing is closed in winter.

Breathtaking and the people are so welcoming. The previous comment made me nervous to go and I thought I had made a mistake but not in the slightest. It is AMAZING, BEST HOLIDAY EVER!! Beautiful cabins located within a befitting environment!! You get awoken by sounds of birds chirping, and the river just a few meters away. This is really a gem within Haenertsburg and it is reasonably priced!!

Location was perfect for exploring Magoebaskloof and surrounding areas. Accommodation was neat, clean and comfy. Beautiful farm setting with ample walking paths throughout the farm.

we got moved from the 2 bedroom cabin to a studio, called them for a refund for the downgrade and it’s been a month of me calling and texting and still nothing.

the cleaning lady was so friendly and the scenery was amazing.

There unfortunately was no hot water when I wanted to shower in the morning before leaving. There was also no milk to make a coffee.

Michele is superbly disorganized, the first frustration started when I booked through booking.com and confirmed via the app. On the app it showed that payment was to be made at the property. A few days later I get a WhatsApp from Michele asking if she can release our booking as she had not received payment yet. After a back and forth on WhatsApp to get information I finally received the banking details and made the full payment upfront. I booked a couples massage, she informed me that the couples massage was not available, to which I amended my booking for a full body 1H massage. I have screenshots to prove that she understood the message. Fast forward to the day of the massages, she did not communicate with her staff about the change of plans and they were going to charge us for the couples massage instead of the amended booking which was approximately a R1000 less than the couples massage. Graham (Michele's husband) got in touch with me and offered me a free massage and facial the next day as an apology. The following morning, Michele changed the story again and informed me that I had to pay for the massages but that the champagne and an express facial would be free. Then there is the matter of directions being wrong, on Google maps the directions lead to an unnamed road instead of the cabins. I decided to drive up to Zwakala brewery and finally found a signboard that directed us in the general direction but as the road continued the markers vanished and we got lost, we phoned Michele for directions and followed her directions to the T, which got us lost and nearly stuck in a dirt road. Not only did they fail to mention that one needs a 4x4 to get to the property especially when it rains, they offered little support in getting us out of the property since it had been raining the whole weekend and the road leading out has turned to sludge. All of the people booked in the cabins had problems getting out as nobody informed us of the condition of the road.
