Swimming pool very small and too cold to go in anyway as not heated.

Poor design with wash basin in effective corridor and loo without a basin. Would prefer a less trendy and more practical layout. Also missing a fridge.

The only negative is that perhaps at times the staff were too attentive, the show around the room was a little unnecessary.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and was very tranquil. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was yummy with great options. I loved the daily cake served in the late afternoon - a lovely touch.

Such a tasteful, thoughtful, convenient and functional hotel. Great value for money. The rooms are big, breakfast was good, and service even better. We felt very well-looked after. The daily wine and tea time are extra bonuses.

Parking facilities at the property is very limited and can be a hindrance. But the staff was always willing to assist, where they can.

Only very small issue is that there needs to be some hooks in the room for coats, towels, dressing gowns etc.

The rather long and steep hill was tough going so a taxi is a necessity.

The room was spacious and well appointed. It was great having a kettle to make a drink. Also loved the balcony. Storage was good and the shower was excellent. The best thing was being able to hire a car and driver who took us on a whole day tour around the Cape Town peninsula for a very reasonable price.

The only reason I gave it 9/10 and not 10/10 - the shower leaked into the room which wasn’t great. However, this was fixed pretty fast and was no issues for the rest of the stay.

We had the secret garden suite booked, the room was very clean, great layout and had a gorgeous private outdoor seating area. The toiletries very nice, I wish I had bought the shower gel! Staff were super friendly and amazing. There is parking available at the property which is great. Breakfast was not bad, a nicer offering of breads (and a toaster) would be good. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely book again.

It was clean, comfortable and well designed. Elton and the team were fabulous, making us feel very welcome and providing top class service in a professional but friendly way. The breakfast was excellent and they were very helpful in giving us advice and directions when asked.

Staff were super friendly and polite. Very welcoming upon arrival The breakfast was delicious with a good number of different options. The little touches were wonderful in our room given it was our honeymoon. We even had a free room upgrade which was amazing. The chef even baked a daily complimentary cake that was left out for guests to enjoy.

The staff were amazing, so attentive and helpful. We headed out of town a couple of nights before staying here and they kindly let us leave our car and kept an eye on it for us. We were so grateful, and on top of that every detail is great, our room was clean, and there are snacks every day including a cake which is all included. Breakfast was good too. Would definitely return.
