How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The sound was too much I went there to get rest but there were parties the whole weekend I feel like they shouldve told me that they were having parties it was my decision to make if I will stand the noise or not before making the payments
The room was beautiful but hot because there were no windows on the bedroom and the shower had the spider webs also it didnt have the roof unless if it was their plan

There was no water or electricity for the duration of the stay. The staff provided a candle but that was it.
The staff was great and the place was clean. The dinner was acceptable.

The bar laddy is soo rude. She can tell you to wait untill she finish cleaning with attitudes. Then after when she likes she will attend u.
I did like the environment it was so nice and also biking yerr i did enjoyed a lot

I like that the bathroom had both bath and outdoor shower, the room is well equipped and included an AC. This is a lovey place for groups / teams. Real value for money. The staff is easy to communicate with and very understanding.

I booked the venue in Hazyview....and when I got to the venue....the was literally ghost house...the place was vandalized...old and no longer operating....I heard to call the owner ...who he was 80 kms away in Nelspruit...the frustration...dissapointment...panicked...it was late ...tired.... forced to travel again to Nelspruit to meet the owner he said he will arrange another place....so the experience it was the worst

The room is run down. The area around the room is a mess. The room is in a back park of the property surrounded by construction activities
When I arrived, there was no one to check me in. I eventually managed to get one of the local workers/tenants to take me to the room. It is only 1 room out of 3 that is available, the other 3 are occupied by contract workers on a permanent basis. The room was clean, and the AC worked. The shower worked but the water is yellow. I would not recommend this for any ladies. It was bareable

The water pump runs on electricity. There was no lights and water due to loadshedding. We were not advised of this.

We booked and paid for double deluxe rooms we were given rooms with single beds and were told that our rooms were given to other guests even thou our bookings were confirmed.

We didn't have Electricity & water in most cases, the water was dirty. House keeping was horrible we even had to ask for another unit since the one offered was so dirty. The air-condition was not working and it was very hot, we hardly slept. Breakfast was horrible the cups were dirty the water given to us for coffee had dead inserts in everything was a mess. Would never recommend this place for any one.

Bedding sheet bed, floor, shower was not clean at all I'm not happy.Staff only one person who was responsible we take a long time at reception 😑😑😑😑 The was tarven around reception and pool the sound was not good lot of noise drunk people at pool very bed.

Presence of. Anagament and staff to attend to problems as they arise, welcome guests, etc.
The place is a nightmare, please don't ever think of visiting this place. Loud music from the facility, no security, water and electricity problems, poor reception, no manta ce to the grounds.

We arrived around 9pm to no electricity yet there was a generator that was powering the club next door to the reception area. The man behind the counter didnt seem sober and for 2 females we felt very unsafe. The room was extremely hot due to there being no power so we had to end up sitting in the car with aircon just to cool down while we waited for the power to be restored. Definitely not worth the money you pay for that place.

We were only there for a very short time. Our TV didn't have signal, but we declined the offer to fix it because we didn't need it.
It was comfortable enough, friendly staff and close to the Kruger Park which is why we originally booked it. The place has a lot of potential, it seems like it is still being developed. At first when you are driving there you may feel hesitant about the location, but we felt perfectly safe so don't prejudge the area 😉

Thembinkosi was always available for all our needs, very understand and made sure that we enjoyed our time there. id reall recommend the lodge. words can never express just amazing everything was, my dads 71s birthday was priceless because you guys made it worth his while
