Ideally located in town, everything is within walking distance which is extremely convenient. Tons of space for unwinding even on rainy days with new appliances, great towels (Mungo) and Marc was a fantastic host too!

Very nice reception from Marc, my host. The Vishuis - self catering - is a hidden gem in Hermanus, very cosy, roomy and nice in a quiet street. Everything is very close by, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, you name it. Very recommended!

Any Unit in The Vishuis is just absolutely fabulous. This was our 2nd staying here and this time around just confirmes what we felt on our shorter stay before: this place is a classy home away from home. Every single thing you could possibly need in a self catering house close to the vibrant center and a warm, welcoming host that will give you all the tips you need 🧡

Excellent accommodation spacious, well designed and to a high standard. Location couldn't be better a few minutes walk from the waterfront, bars and restaurants. Marc is an exceptional host, welcoming and providing useful local information. Superb value for money too. Can't recommend highly enough.

Such a stunning spot and Marc was so friendly and helpful! I didn’t use my car at all, I walked everywhere, perfect spot to explore from. The cottage was gorgeous and had everything I needed to bake up storm! Would love to go back.

The kitchenette is a little too small to use for more than a cup of coffee or snack with a glass of wine! This is OK as there are so many great restaurants and cafes in the area.

This fisherman's cottage was the perfect little stay in Hermanus. A few blocks back from the main square the road is quiet but everything you need is easily accessible on foot. The cottage was great with a small relaxing lounge area and comfy bed. We were greeted by Marc on arrival and when we left he was also able to give us a great plan of where to stop on our drive over the mountains to Cape Town.

There was nothing we didn't like at all, we had a lovely stay, if I was to improve on perfection then a two ring stove/ hob to cook a simple meal and a toaster would be a winner, but it's fantastic as it is!

Our "cottage" is one of 4 units on the site, around a central courtyard. The accommodation is top notch, spacious, well furnished and welcoming, Marc himself couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Location wise it's in the old part of town, in a quiet street, just minutes walk from the shore and restaurants etc. Perfect.

I cannot recommend Marc, as a host, and The Vishuis highly enough. The room we had was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Marc is knowledgeable and an exceptional host.
