Nothing. People often say they’ll go again. We’re going back next week before returning home to NL. And when we come back to SA, we’ll surely stay again.

ticks ALL the boxes: very friendly & flexible staff (especially Amy), large room, good bed, great breakfast, nice (small) pool, convenient location. Everything is a short Uber ride away in Cape Town anyway, and it’s just 2-3 minutes walk from Kloof St with shops and bars and restaurants.

We had expected that you could make use of the swimming pool as was told on booking.com. However, it turned out the swimming pool was closed until november. We made a complaint about that and it has been assured that the information on the internet will be changed and they have compensated us with a breakfast.

We had an big, nice and luxurous room which was decently styled. The house has a nice garden where you can relax. Finally, the house is centrally located, which gives you the chance to explore all the different famous sites of cape town.

The toilet was quite high off the ground. The shower pressure was very week. There were lots of beggers in the area that harassed us every day when walking to Kloof Street and back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very well taken care of. The location is convenient.

Room was great - spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also great, and the location (a block away from restaurants etc.) was most convenient. I was the only guest in the hotel for one of the nights (and there were two more guests in the other night) but even in higher occupancy I believe that the service would still be great

Staff were so helpful and accommodating and nothing was to much for them. They even drove us to town one day as we could not get an Uber so we would not miss our trip. They were very welcoming and always smiling. Perfect hosts we could not fault them

Very clean, Tastefully furnished, airconditioned and super comfy . very central , we felt very safe. The hosts were super helpful and friendly , and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I honestly cannot fault them on anything.

Superb place to stay in a great location. The service was very nice and responsive to all my little special requests. I felt like I was a really welcome guest. In addition, the whole guest house exceeded all my expectations with its comfort and beautiful interior design. I will definitely visit them again!

Shower gel in irritating little tube, half full and didnt last the visit. A lot of unlocking and then locking again the entrance, room and verandah doors irritating. Swimming pool not in action and this area not very inviting. Expensive mini bar drinks disappointing, not even a complimentary water!

Pleasant spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Decent enough desk space to work at. Position was good but on busy little road. Walk to good restaurants and shops. Thanks for getting up to let me out for early departure.

No commercial gesture for 2 days without electricity, the pool is a little bit depressing, the rooms need a refreshment.

The staff was incredibly professional and helpful. We had no electricty in the room during 2 hours but they were always there to help us charge our phones with a battery or making us a coffee.

Staff seemed a bit timid . Answer to My questions generally was use gooogle . The first day breakfast was laid out at side but not from thereon . My milk in room was not refilled .

The breakfast was extremely expensive for the tiny little portion that was given. Not up to par with any of the other accommodation offered around the same area including much higher rated b&b's, guesthouses and hotels. Not worth it at all.

Not very peaceful, not very professional. Got a message from management falsely accusing me of something, when I said they must be mistaking me for someone else, and the lady at reception correcting them, they did not apologize until after I checked out. There was clearly some internal communication issues, and they did not handle it very professionally or maturely, and made it my problem instead of sorting it out internally. Customers don’t want to know or be involved in internal issues. I will not stay here again because of this. But with the actual facilities there is nothing wrong.

The Walden is poorly managed. Two young, inexperienced girls are left to cope with everything!! The room amenities are skimpy, the TV offered limited choices, (i had to register my own Netflix), the breakfast is poor quality. The previous rating of this place is misleading!! Never again will I book there No, Booking.com. no.
