Dinner got finished quickly. We didn’t get to taste the samp that was on the menu that day. The room had a very very very bad smell we had to use air freshner every 5 mins to avoid the smell (room 10), the toilet had a leakage and bathroom had water on the dooor and the wifi was poor.

The place is very beautiful and the food was delicious.

Location is awesome, but please do something about the signage to main entrance from the main road , R40. It is very difficult to accurately locate the entrance, especially at night, and it becomes potentially dangerous with cars tailing at high speed. The side junction/access road is almost invisible at night. You may do well by investing in adding short the exit lanes from both directions on the R40. Also, a big signage pointing directly to the main entrance will really assist.

Charges when you spill something on bedding.i was charged 300 for spilling drink on bedding at which i refused to pay unless if they'll give me the bedding in question. Mind you they we slept on a well bedding because they refused to give us a clean bedding. They said its fine i can exclude the fine and pay my bills because theere was no network in our room from friday to sunday when we check out.

The one morning we went out for a game drive with another ranger and he was a bit hasty. We did get to see a lot of Giraffes, which we loved, but the whole drive felt rushed. It was already a drizziling morning, but he made it worse by driving fast in the rain on the way back to the camp, because I assume he wanted to be at the camp at exactly 8am.

We absolutely loved the location, it was a beautiful lodge in the bush surrounded by beautiful trees and animals. At the morning buffet, there is this massive tree where they put out seeds for the birds and you can enjoy watching the birds and squirrels eat the seeds. The rooms were big a spacious and the bed slept like a dream. We enjoyed the game drives, even though we didn't get to see the Lions or Leopards, we got to see at least 2 animals from the Big 5. We saw a beautiful Elephant and her son and we saw a Rhino and her calf. We also saw Hippos in the dams and many other bucks and birds. The game ranger (Tyler) did an excellent job with showing us the animals and he gave us a lot of fun facts about every animal we encountered.

I had the bungalow, a large house for 4 people with private pool. Air con is in one small bedroom only, rest of house gets very hot, so if 4 staying, 2 have to suffer. Very strange. Cleaners and pool guy seemed to be in and out all the time, trying to be helpful but a bit too much. Never knock,, just come in and wander around. You could be doing anything and get disturbed. Only other negative is the food offerings. At this price level and claims to be 4 star,. I expect more than chicken wings and rice, with a boney meat stew. No veggie options, same small salad every night, and no starch except pap or rice. Breakfast often served cold (they quick to reheat, but why?) They did , one night only when very busy, revert to what they used to serve,. nice steak, boarwurst, .. very good.. but this should be on offer every night, not when costs / income allow.

Work in travel industry, and have visited Tshukudu many times over 30 years. It has been thru good and bad times, and right now seems to be on the up again. Units are clean and fresh, vehicles in good order, the rangers/safari guides are excellent and keep in touch to pass on sightings. Pool area totally refreshed and gardens added. Generally the compound is good. Very high staff to visitor ratio and they all ty hard to please. Good choice of units from 1 bed studios, 2 bed units and a large bungalow.

I have no complaints. It does seem that there are less game on the property since our previous visit. More game would be an advantage.

Super friendly staff. Very lovely facilities. Game drive guide, Johnson, was exceptional with his knowledge and went the extra mile for our every request. It was our second visit and we will return in March for our next visit.

Communal areas are lovely, clean and a nice place to spend time, especially around the pools. Rooms are basic but functional, exactly how it looks in the photos

The shower looks old and even the tiles are water stained and have a brown look.. Needs deep cleaning, the toilet too had brown streaks from the water.. Not a nice look but I'm assuming it's just with the older units as I did notice new and modern looking units in the yard.

Exceptional guest services, amazing staff.. From Len by the gate and super friendly Roberta, Pearl and Bongi @ reception, the barmen were incredible! And the dinners were exceptional, the chefs really came to play at night. Definitely worth a second visit

they didnt have a tv in the rooms and an iron and you are charged R30 to iron an item of clothing, the have quiet a a lot of rules and unnecessary fines for making noise, for drinking your own alcohol outside your room

the staff was really great and attentive, their breakfast was really amazing the food was fresh and delicious. i enjoyed their game drive and the massage that i received. our dinner on the second night was really amazing

Awesome place!

Just did one game drive and saw giraffe, hippos, aligator, zebra and nice birds. But other guest saw all the big five on the previous trips. Game drives were not included on my stay, but price was reasonable
