Dinner was delicious, couples massage was amazing

The breakfast options were so limited! We could order from a set menu (very limited options) and we could have buffet styled toast, muffins, cereal, fruit. The cereal was such a disappointment. I had rice crispies but it was either old or some cheap brand because it didn't go snap crackle and pop lol. The coffee was terrible, my muffin was sticky and did not have a good taste at all. We left without finishing our breakfast 😞

Lovely, clean rooms. Everything looked like it was well maintained. The view was amazing. We stayed in the rooms right at the back so all we saw was nature.

The rooms are getting a bit dated. Basin tap coming loose. Lighting in cabins could be better. Shower didn't drain well.

I would have liked a wine glass and crockery in the unit, as it is equipped with a braai, but no utensils

The bed was hard and uncomfortable, the shower leaked, the dinner was average. Value for money was bad.

The water supply gave some brownish water om the jacuzzi style bathtub. The swimming pool was very cold (more sunshine necessary :-)). More pastties would further improve the excellent breakfast.

The lodge is conveniently located along the highway. It has a nice forest and cabin set up. There is a hiking trail starting at the lodge. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

Unfortunately the one shower door was missing. There also were no shampoo

Although it is not a five star lodge, we surely will stay there again. The staff were so friendly. The breakfast excellent. The location next to the highway but it felt like on a farm. I can recommend this place.

Clean comfortable accommodation in a convenient location with shaded parking. Buffet evening meal in the restaurant with friendly staff. It was a return visit for us.

Peaceful area in nature. Stunning Mountain View’s. Excellent service from the resident beauty therapist. Very helpful and friendly waiters and kitchen staff. Delightful breakfast chef. Spacious chalet. Clean well maintained swimming pool.

The only issue was the geyser but they immediately fixed upon being notified..

Hmm, the restaurant had dinner service but only buffet and we would have preferred an open menu but that is personal preference (a hamburger or something quick to bite)

It is located close to Stormsriver Village and the garage for last minute necessities

This property needs some serious TLC and does look run down. There were cracked tiles throughout the floor of the accommodation and curtain tassels etc were missing and just laid on the side with no effort to fix. There was a braii on the balcony that had a huge hole in the grill plate. We told Reception staff and they didn't care. On the 3 occasions that we nipped into Reception; staff were quite uncaring and very unhelpful on 2 occasions. One lady however was just brilliant and gave us local info etc. The fire in the accommodation was also completely broken and unusable. We were also annoyed that there are safes in the room but were told that Management no longer allow guests to use these. We needed to be able to put valuables away so resorted to hiding our valuables under the bed and refusing room service for our stay. The pool was pretty but very cold and just full of leaves (I appreciate that it's in the middle of the forest but didn't see staff clean this).

We stayed 3 nights in the honeymoon suite and it was extremely reasonable for the length of our stay. We had 2 early mornings and were leaving before breakfast was served. We told the staff and they kindly made us a pack up lunch to take with us which was really nice. The restaurant staff were really friendly and although the food served in the restaurant is quite simple food, it was very yummy and also very reasonably priced. We also loved how quiet it was in our accommodation. Tsitsikamma village is a ten minute drive down the road and if you like lots of activities then this is perfect for you. We did the canopy tour ziplines, the eezi scooter tour through the forest, had a yummy chocolate milkshake in the 60s diner and had a stonefired pizza as well. Great location for activities. In summary, the location is great and the price of food and accommodation is very reasonable. If you can look past the need for a refurb and broken items in the rooms and you spend your days outside of the accommodation then this is for you.

Didn’t realise that the bedroom was upstairs and wasn’t easily accessible for my wife- we assumed ( out fault) that bedroom would be on ground floor

In house restaurant had no vegetarian food options for dinner. We had to drive to a nearby village for dinner after a long drive to get to the lodge in the evening.

Good location, fairly close to Tsitsikama national park main entrance, breakfast was good and staff were very friendly and helpful.

They were not fully prepared for the influx of visitors for breakfast on Sunday morning so we had to wait for plates, etc.

The cabin needs some maintenance. No desk reception or restaurant, or shops after hours or nearby. Pack everything.
