How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Restaurant service was very slow, food preferences ignored when placing order. Had to take food as take away as kids were too tired to wait longer.
Attended event at GreenPoint stadium. Location was perfect as a result, just a short stroll away.

Paid for car parking, R50.00 per night.
Very clean and comfortable bedding, closer to most areas, very welcoming staff. air con was working properly, water very hot, clean Egyptian cotton linen everyday. Wi-Fi the best.

The restaurant and bar was not prepared for a full hotel. Waited very long for service and food. Food was good though
Rooms are nice and comfortable. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Close to Cape Town stadium. Will highly recommend.

We struggled with the lifts. We booked 2 rooms and (unfortunately) weren't on the same floor. During the night my son got sick and he needed to come and get medicinefrom me and my daughter's room, which was on a different floor. The lifts didn't allow him to stop at any other floor than the room he was in. Needless to say he had to climb stairs at 3am.
Very modern and the beds are super comfortable. The personal were all very helpful and friendly.

The parking is an additional fee of ZAR50 a day, not included as may be implied by the booking. Either way parking on site was easy and affordable.
Great location, nice clean modern rooms, good gym, roof top pool stunning.

Food is a bit expensive so I opted for nearby restuarants. Some occasions load shedding was also present but was not a major issue
The location was is excellent, close to everything. Stuff super friendlywelcome and helpfull and the room are very nice. Everything worked well and was clean. Although I didnt swim I love the views on top. Definately reccomend this hotel for anyone going to Cape Town

The rooms, although well designed, are small and a bit cramped.
Excellent location in Green Point and close to bars, restaurants and the Waterfront. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. The hotel was clean and well-maintained.

we had load shedding on sunday morning which is something we all need to deal with. the hotel had run out of diesel. very poor planning.

Basement parking was full and my vehicle was parked in front of the hotel meters away from security.Security confirmed the vehicle is save. That night there was broken into the canopy and bicycle stolen. Security could not explain. Was there for cycling toor. Safety and security seems to be a problem.

The parking spots are smaller than expected, a bit of a challenge if you have a bigger vehicle. The room is smaller than expected, and there is no mini fridge in the room to keep anything cool to drink. We were unable to open the window properly, and the window was dirty on the outside. The menu is slightly limited.
The staff was excellent, friendly, and always willing to go the extra Mile. The shuttle service is a plus point. Beds are comfortable. Perfect for a short visit.

Cleaners can do better than what they are doing
Location closer to waterfront and not too far from the airport. The bed also was very comfortable. Staff very friendly.

The room had flaws, the mirror in our room was broken, that's dangerous! The shower leaked into the the room. House keeping did not clean the room when we left it for more than 3hrs coming back from where we were to a dirty room wasn't great. The hotel promotes cashlessness and when I wanted to tip sisanda at the front desk I was told, that I can tip in Cash but I never have hard cash on me so maybe get an ATM on premises? On the last day I couldn't go up to the pool deck for some reason 🥺
The location was amazing, the front desk staff namely sisanda was fantastic. The pool 💯 and loved the gym. The shower is awesome
