Only negative I can think of is location, best to have a car to access nearby restaurants. Building works on next phase in progress close by.

The salt water pool was a high light it was heated. It was a great temperature. Room was large, bathroom very superior, particularly liked the outdoor shower. Elijah and Peter were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

For German tourists like us it could be nice to start the breakfast already at 7 am or earlier and not during the given time 8 to 10 am. However we only mention this because our stay was nearly perfect

The Staff and the location exceeded our expectations. We felt in good hands from arrival to departure. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The pool as well as our balcony (from our room) gave a perfect view to the lion's head and parts of the table mountain. Especially the love in the detail like Lindor chocolate at our bedside cabinet or the nice smell in every room made our stay wonderful. We would definitely come back if we planned another trip to cape town!

The pictures won't even do its justice. By far the most beautiful hotel we've ever stayed at. Very well managed, incredibly clean and stunning interior design. The view from the pool is astonishing and we had the most relaxed days with incredible weather. Hands on and very friendly manager plus team. By far on of the most beautiful hotels in Cape Town :-)

The great breakfast, the view from our bedroom (see photo), the old movie feeling inside the estate, the eclectic decoration, the adorable “secret forest café” at the bottom of the garden. Simply fantastic. Everybody was so kind and helpful. This was truly a highlight during our trip to Cape Town.

This is a fantastic place, and it truly deserves five stars. Large rooms with a fantastic view and exceptional staff. If you want a luxury holiday in a tranquil location, this is a place where you should go. It is outside of the city but at the same time close enough to the city.

Beautiful views. We got room no 7 which is not as in the floorplan on the website. My guess is that they have included part of the previous terrasse in the room, creating a suite with a sitting room with sofa, chars and a small table with chars for example cardplaying. The view is not as a extensive in this room as shown on the web. You see the mountain but the main building blocks The Valley view. But the view you have from all facilities, pool, breakfast etc. the room is fantastic

you definitely need to work on your eggs benedict, the hollandaise sauce for them is really not that difficult and it changes the dish completely. Besides, in such a classy facility, a decent juicer would be much better than bottled juices.

Beautiful small boutique hotel in the middle of Constantia, close to Clifton, Camps Bay and many amazing vineyards in Constantia. Also close to Cape Town for dinners. Amazing view on the Lions Head and nice infinity pool. Great service and breakfast. Spacious rooms with nice terasses for each room. Recommend to book rooms in the upper floor. Very good value for money.

The AC in the room was not cool enough for us. It made our sleep a little uncomfortable. Maybe it just needs services .

Everything about this place is wonderful. The pool area is wonderful with an amazing view. The room was huge with a balcony to see the stunning view as well. Breakfast was a great way to start the day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!

I loved my stay here. It is such a beautiful location with incredible views and is so peaceful and calming. The breakfast is amazing and the staff go over and above. Elijah in particular was brilliant - as a solo traveller he really made sure I was safe particularly with taxis and locations etc and I so appreciated that! I would definitely recommend.

We’d like to say thank you so much to Elija for making our final night of our 2 week South Africa trip so amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing experience. After a busy 2 weeks we wanted a relaxing last day and we truly got that with Villa Lion. We were kindly given a room upgrade upon arrival which meant we had an amazing view facing room with access straight out the gorgeous pool. The view at sunset is simply exquisite and can’t be beaten. Also another highlight was the breakfast. Wow, what a treat!! Best breakfast experience we’ve had with afternoon tea style presentation. Really ended our trip on a high, we thoroughly recommend.
