We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe place was scruffy and could have done with updating the windows in the bedrooms had big gaps in them and would not close properly, we did text the host and they came and did a very poor job on one window and did not clear up the mess they made and the bits were all in the bedding!!
The Location was good and some of the property was very modern but other parts including the window frames in the bedrooms were not fit for purpose!

South AfricaLots of homeless people roaming in front of the house at night. No security at the property. No backup power during load shedding. The lighter for the gas stove did not work. Cleaning of the property is an additional extra you have to pay for per day. I was charged R1500 extra after the stay that has not yet been explained. No braaiing facilities.
The house is spacious, right in front of the beach. Boardwalk shopping mall is a walking distance away.

South AfricaParking was arguably the worst. One garage parking for a property that can Host 8 guests doesn't make sense.. We were advised to park in the street, but being from Port Elizabeth and knowledgeable about high crime rate, I resisted. The email with instructions to move in was also misleading as it refer to "parking's" instead of being clear that there is only one parking. Same email also erroneously pointed garage nr, 9 as our parking and after struggling some time to gain access to nr. 9 I call the host and was inform that it was garage nr 8 and not 9. No "free wifi" during our entire stay of 5 days. It was very disappointing since the property's TV works only with internet. Worse since our entire stay was over a rainy period. Some windows old and in desperate need of repair. The window of the bedroom on the upper floor at the rear, are hanging on one hinge only and almost fell when I try to open it. Another one in the same room is tied with a cable tie. These windows don't close properly and the draft caused the bathroom door to rattle, which in turn has made for a very unpleasant stay. Front bedroom's roof must have a leak as there were water on the cupboard every morning. Gas braai doesn't work properly and can be a health risk as on/off knobs doesn't select properly.. One might open gas outside not knowing if knobs are on or off. We found the drip tray of the gas braai dirty and full of fat, another health risk as it can cause a fire on its own. People should rate fair so these property owners can repair and upgrade their properties. No sense in rating to please the owners/hosts. It only misleads prospective guests, especially since the property gives no option to view prior to moving in. We had family from Western and Northern Cape sharing the residence and they were least impress.
Clean, except for gas braai tray. Modern fixture, closeness to beach mall.

The beach is across the a very busy road which is not convenient for kids. For someone looking for a relaxed and tranquillity this might not be the place. Road too busy day and night.
