The gas stove for load shedding was absolutely awesome, loved the outdoor shower and the air-conditioning was an absolute bonus. Roelien is the perfect hostess!!

The gravel road was a turn off.

Please put a side light in the lounge, the fluorescent light is too bright. A shower connection in the bath would also be great.

This is the second time we have been to Vlakkieskraal. The pool is a welcome addition. We went with our dogs who enjoyed the walks on the farm.

The host was a bit rude, not welcoming at all. She didn't even check up on us if we ok or indeed of anything. She does not have a friendly tone. When we were about to leave we informed her that we still waiting for our transport she could not wait for us to leave as she kept on asking us what time are we leaving and how far was the transport. She did not even ask us how did we settle even when leaving, she did not even want to know how we felt Abt the whole stay, she made us feel unwanted as we had to request for tissue through WhatsApp and stay with our filled bins with no one to assist. The pool is so small and the braai area is not tented as when it rains u can have it outside, the wifi is there but with no internet. Pots were only two small ones and we were six.

The place it self it's beautiful. The house is on point and the owner son is so helpful.

We had no regrets. The facilities and staff provided us with an experience that exceeded our expectations. We simply suggest the inclusion of a washing machine for the convenience of guests staying a week or longer than that.

I spent 11 nights at Vlaakieskraal Bush House (23 Dec 2022 - 3 Jan 2023) with my wife and 2 sons. We had an amazing experience at the property. Roelien, Renier and Christian, as well as the rest of their family and staff made us feel welcome. The hosts paid us particular attention and communicated exceptionally well. We enjoyed the guided tour of the farm, including the interaction with the donkeys and goats (feeding them apples and Marula fruits, respectively), the outdoor shower, the Smart TV, the pool, the sighting of animals from the comfort of the living area, and the conversations with Roelien, Renier and Christian. We went back to Johannesburg recharged! We will definitely return. We strongly recommend this property to fellow travellers. Roelien, Renier and Christian are definitely the epitomes of super-hosts. The road to the Bush house is too sandy for a small car. Otherwise everything perfect

The Place is clean. Everything you need is available. If your looking for comfort in the middle of the Bush this is definitely your place.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Extremely impressed with how well and thoughtful the decor and facilities were. It was a sublime pleasure to interact with the goats, donkeys and dogs. I got to bottle feed the 2 week old goat kids which was an incredible highlight. Loadshedding was a pain but we enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of our hosts Renier and Rolien.
