The advertisement is not correct/misleading. There was mention of 2 bathrooms. However there was only one with another toilet. I was led to believe that each room had a bathroom. The two cottages are also NOT next to each other as I had also been led to believe by the lady answering my call. We had a couple with a baby who needed the one unit but were now unable to stay in it as they would not be close to baby when he slept. Otherwise a magnificent environment and we enjoyed ourselves. We used to know the farm very well as my husbands family had owned Suikerbosrand nearby. Litter also needs to be monitored at the falls sadly. Would love to go again but pricey.

Given that Daisy Cottage has limited shade on the pool side, perhaps the pool and deck can be covered with an awning, gazebo or afdak. I would have spent a lot more time in the pool if it was sheltered from the harsh sun. We looked all around the house for a patio umbrella. Would have taken our beach umbrella along if we'd known. And theres only 1 pool lounger on the deck.... 2 would be better. The outside shower is nice, but since there is no shower in the bathroom, a privacy screen/enclosure would be really great.

Loved the peace and quiet. The views. The fact that the cottages are far apart. Really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub.... didnt think we would use it because it was 38 degrees when we arrived... but day 2 was much cooler. So glad we fired it up for the evening ...and then didnt want to get out it was so good!

I imagined the cottage to be a little better equipped, for example, there was 1 sun lounger outside but the cottage is for 4 people, perhaps an outside sofa would be nice too, for reading on the porch. I also missed a functioning coffee maker, the plunger needs to be binned unfortunately.

The farm is just magnificent. Fluffy, the farm dog, totally stole our hearts.

They didn’t let us know ahead of time that the splash pool had a leak and was emptied. Were unable to use the oven as it kept cutting the power. Cold water tap to the bath did not work at all.

Beautiful space with every detail considered.

The stay was very nice. We did notice that the power was off for the whole day and that it was hard to reach someone to discuss. That was inconvenient but our stay was still very pleasant. Very cosy house. Very nice to have 2 separate bedrooms when you travel with kids. Also nice to be able to bring pets.

Honey cottage could do with a little attention and some more outdoor furniture. I love ‘rustic’ but the cottage seems quite old/tired. There wasn’t enough outdoor furniture for all 6 of us without bringing chairs outside from the inside dining table.

The house does require some maintenance: the ceiling in the walkway was open and looks like its coming apart. the toilets are very old and don't flush nicely (one toilet did not flush at all). The shared bathroom with the bath wasn't very comfortable, especially since it was a shared space. Everything else was in good order. I had some misinformation via booking.com when trying to request the correct info on a requested damages deposit on the booking and I felt the host could have been more kind and accommodating in her response to my request.

I loved that the house was super well equipped, especially the kitchen. We had everything we needed to make delicious meals as well as lovely, comfy dining tables to eat at. The space is really spacious and you don't feel cramped especially when sharing with 10 people. The location is just magic with divine waterfalls close by, nature walks, dam, spectacular views, no light pollution and quiet. I loved the new deck and stretch tents, it especially added a superb vibe and the fire pit too!! What a wonderful place to spend a birthday with special friends.

My only criticism would be the Farm house floors. We found this to be a little grubby. It's a typical farm house set up, which is lovely. However it needs a lick of paint and new floors laid throughout. This will improve the house dramatically. The table tennis table was a hit for out teenagers. The garden and outdoor set up is fantastic.

The location is an absolute dream. The cottages are situated very closely to the waterfall, only a 10 min walk. The waterfall is absolutely incredible, a must see for any nature lover. The hostess of the farm is very helpful and friendly, as are the staff. We even befriended their local puppy, Lucy. We will definitely be back in Summer when we can swim in the waterfall.
