The road to it, coming from either direction was a bit of a nightmare.

Everything was fantastic. Our house really was big enough to make you feel at home and it had everything we needed. The view and location were great, deer visited us every day. The fireplace kept us warm and was given the seal of approval by a fire fighter for safety too! Everything was very clean and in great condition. The kitchen was well equipped and all the crockery and pots etc were quality. The bed was comfortable and there were enough blankets for colder weather. The hosts were attentive, helpful and responsive. We will certainly be back, we had a wonderful and relaxing weekend away.

There was nothing we did not like.

Rural location. Close to tourist attractions. Clean and spacious cottage. Debbie was a very good host. Quality towels, bedding and luxury bathroom items.

If we are being picky the water pressure could have been better in shower but then it was probably due to the loadshedding. Also short trip on dirt road required careful driving.

Cottage had everything you could hope for. Ecofriendly in terms for disposal of garbage. WiFi signal good. Buck grazing near the unit. Close to old main road and easy to access the midlands meander - close to Piggly Wiggly. Totally relaxing stay and will use again when we come to the midlands.

We immediately felt welcome and at home in this charming country cottage. The cottage is well equiped, with good wi-fi, located in beautiful, peaceful, secure surroundings and close to all attractions. Outstanding communication from the host.

Debbie was an amazing host, communicating very effectively with us and flexible with our check-in/out times. The cottage was centrally located and covered for all our needs with a comfy bed, a quiet space to relax and some great suggestions of what to do in the area. Although not needed this time there was a cosy fire place which would be lovely for a winter trip to the midlands:)

What a beautiful, tranquil location. The cottage was extremely comfortable and what a joy to be visited by the resident buck and hares every evening. Thank you Debbie and Frank for being so welcoming. This was the perfect getaway to The Midlands before heading back to work for the new year 🙂

A dip in the ground where we parked was hidden as it was covered with grass, but we both stumbled into it when getting into the car.

So much attention to detail e.g. rechargeable globes for ease during l/s, wonderful stock of books to read, the host sending the l/s schedules to us to keep us updated.

Accomodation was lovely, clean and spacious. Kitchen was well kitted out. Debbie is a great host who kept us in the loop regarding loadshedding schedules for the area and provided extra lights when there was an unscheduled outage. She was easily reachable via whatsapp and always happy to help. The location is beautiful and so relaxing.

I loved everything, it is so peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely cozy fire for the chilly mornings and evenings that heats the whole cottage.
