How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There were only 3 options on the breakfast menu, we wish there were more. The shower kept flooding outside the shower door. The WiFi was terrible from our room and the netflix and other streaming services weren't working. We did request assistance from the staff, which it then worked for the night and didn't work for the rest of the trip. We were informed that we weren't allowed to smoke on the balcony despite there being cigarette buds on the balcony and a constant strong smell of weed in the halls and would sometimes come into our room when we kept the windows open as if the other tenants were smoking next to us.
The room was clean and comfortable. The aircon worked perfectly. The breakfast was delicious. There was a working elevator and the location is close to most attractions. The kitchen unit was well equipped for 2 people.

There is no proper and safe parking for cars available. We had to pay R750 for an open, obscure parking behind the hotel.
Friendly people. The breakfast was tops! It is walking distance from the CTICC.

During check in, having informed them i will arrive late or around 23:00 hrs i was still made to wait by the reception very long and capetown was COLD and thanks to the the taxi driver being a resident , he managed to call them through so i can get a room allocation. They need to improve

The central Cape Town was clean. It was so pleasant at the Cafe for our morning coffee. The location for the purpose of our visit was perfect. Secure parking was a bonus.

I think for the kind of money the property should provide a bottle of water everyday. This was only provided on the first day. Also the reception is not 24hrs, however the property provides a key that can let you in. This was not communicated at check-in so the first night i got stranded outside.
The breakfast is good and quick. The service was also very good, staff very friendly.t The WFI worked great

Parking and having to walk at night from the car park to the hotel. Some nights when returning from meetings the car park was full and finding parking was difficult.
Suited our needs perfectly. Room was spacious and comfortable and had all we needed, and the breakfasts at the cafe were really good. Amazing coffee!!!

The first room safe failed to lock, we reported this and a replacement was installed which also failed to lock. After a further couple of days without a functioning safe we gave up. air condition did not cool but this didn't give us a problem. We reported that one of the sink plugs had jammed shut four days before leaving ... it was still not mended by our departure date so we just used the other sink.
Breakfast was good. Location is good. Room size and cleanliness were very good

The shower flow is not good. I flooded the bathroom before realizing and had to block up the door with towels to stop this happening again. The kitchen was poorly appointed for the price we paid. At least 2 coffee cups would have been nice. There were only 2 small teacups with no saucers. AS I said, it has potential to be lovely. The safe didn't work and we just had to make a plan. Unfortunately, the room we had was very noisy because of loiterers right outside our window. It is a nice hiding whole for people to visit in. The security guards should be aware of this and move these people along.
The location and the staff were amazing. The room was large and clean. The hotel has the potential to be really amazing but there were a couple of issues. The bedding was very clean and comfortable.

The showers kept flooding the toilet when we used it and the kitchen needed to have more cooking utensils for example a pot

The kitchen could've been furnished better. The coffee and tea mugs were tiny (not practical at all), and there was not enough cutlery and crockery for 2 people. Also, the smart TV setup allowed for other people to randomly connect. This was a bit strange. Better instructions for how to operate and connect to the smart TV would have been better.
It was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. I liked the fact that housekeeping wasn't every day, which allowed for privacy and relaxation. Very practical for a self-catering place! Everything was clean and tastefully decorated! Definitely value for money. The location was excellent and allowed easy transport to lots of fun locations without many delays. The location was also relatively safe and in a quieter part of the CBD, which was great!

The view wasn't the best since I was starting a a wall but I wasn't in the hotel all day so it didn't matter, also the housekeeping schedule was weird since they didn't come everyday so that caused me so e confusion but other than that me and my aunt really enjoyed our stay
The breakfast was great. The restaurant staff was really wonderful they would tell you when something wasn't available but that never was a problem because of the variety that they offered. The coffee was to tier
