What a wonderful experience at Xanatseni. The lodge is small and intimate, with beautiful, spacious and clean rooms. The food was so delicious with a lot of variety 😋 we had some really great sightings with our ranger being very knowledgeable. All the staff where fantastic and we really felt at home and always looked after! Thank you Xanatseni for helping us celebrate our anniversary so perfectly!

Some problem with the wifi and air condition due to the load shedding and flooding, but nothing Xanatseni can be blamed for.

We had a wonderful stay at Xanatseni. Teneil, Ross, Sidney and all other staff were so welcoming and generous. Can highly recommend, and would definitely stay there again!

The pool could have been cleaner

The hosts, Teneil and Joe, were amazing. They really went out of their way to create the perfect setting for me to propose to my girlfriend! The rooms were beautiful. The wildlife was a bit sparse, but the ones we saw were spectacular (for instance seeing 10 lions up close)!

the gym is rather old and does not match the standards of the rest of the camp, but there seems to be plans to do something about that.

we had an incredible time at the Camp! Teniel, Ross and the entire team are so welcoming and caring, it could not be any better. Everything is taken care off, they always check with the guests if they have any wishes or requests (food). The rooms are being cleaned twice per day which is great as you need to rest a bit during the day due to the early wake up times for the drives. Food is great too which was very important for us, the menu changes each day, it is nicely planned and organized, also during the game drives with drinks and snacks. The game drives are of course the highlights for everyone: Ross and Sidney have so much enthusiasm and passion for it that makes every drive as if it was the first (even if you dont spot animals each time). We would always come again as we loved every moment of it! Thanks again to all of the team

Pool was not clean. Was very windy and tree with leaves overhang the pool, so nothing they could do about it.

Food was great! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Saw all the animals we wanted to see. Facilities was clean and comfortable.

if it comes to game drives, and i have done a lot the last years and i have seen a lot of guides, comparing to this, there is a lot to do about that. a lot. so, from now on, you and me check before, since how many years a guide is guiding, how he is dealing with people and so on. from now on, i will ask this every lodge before i stay there. if a guide is not able to tell you anything about an animals behavior, if a guide is not interested in conservation, treating a customer with respect or anything which is normal or talking frist with the customer where to go, tracking together and so on, i would say, skip it.

Klaserie is a nice game reserve. rooms are clean. food is ok. management is friendly. Ross is nice. its a nice place to relax, its very quiet.

Vehicles not properly maintained paired with an inexperienced guide cost us our only quality leopard sighting while other lodge’s guests had a phenomenal sighting. Stion and Thaniel mean well but would benefit from additional training on how to interact with guests and wildlife. We were fed previously frozen chicken nuggets for lunch. Drinks were surprisingly not included during Sundowners. Lots of potential, but we left frustratingly disappointed and will not return.

Room was clean and beautiful and the grounds were peaceful. House keeping and Ross were lovely. Most of the meals were what you’d expect from a lodge experience.
