We simply loved EVERYTHING!!

Location, facilities, ambiance and serenity. Our host Chante with generous Karoo hospitality provided an excellent braai package. The breakfast was excellent. This is definitely worth a longer stay. The cottage contained all amenities for a comfortable stay, even a dover stove for winter nights. The gravel road to the property is in good condition and easy to navigate. If you’re in need of balm for your soul and want to revive your senses this is the perfect spot! We will certainly be back!

It was probably my favourite booking done through booking.com yet. Our family had a amazing time, the kids would go to the chickens every morning to look for eggs and even had a kayak ride with the swans. Endless open spaces allowed for them to ride their bikes and the horses were so tame our 3 year old could ride on one. The attention to detail gave us a rustic yet comfortable stay. The food was also delicious - proper South African Boerekos. We will be back for sure.

Everything was as we had hoped and indeed the hospitality exceeded our expectations. It is important that you go here with a sense of adventure.

Well, where to start. The location was ideal, out on the Karoo. This farm is an oasis in the desert. The accommodation is simple, but tasteful. Food is plentiful and of excellent quality.

It is quite off the beaten track. The dirt road was quite far but it was worth it. So nothing not to like.

The hospitality. Food excellent. Tranquility and the true Karoo night experience. Chante was a perfect host. We will definitely perfer this accommodatiom as the perfect stay over or to find some peace and quiet in these demanding times.

Zeekoegat is an oasis in the middle of the Great Karoo. Our cottage was cosy with a delightful wood-burning oven and nicely away from everything, allowing our cats to feel safe to roam. The bed was comfy and warm and the electric blanket was a treat. We were warmly welcomed by Chanté and Jan and they prepared a delicious meal of tasty slow braised beef ribs and barley with salad and a sticky, crunchy pavlova. Yum! We were free to wander all over the farm with our golden retriever. They have lovely white and black swans on a picturesque lake flanked by amazing trees, which is hard to fathom in this drought prone region. Breakfast was another spoil with so much choice and variety and generosity. What a pity we could only stay for a single night. Thanks Chanté and Jan for your friendly and kind hospitality and for sharing your lovely home with us.
