Sehama Beach is 300 metres from the ryokan, while Koibito Misaki Cape is 12 km from the property. The nearest airport is Oshima Airport, 129 km from Dogashima Onsen Hotel.

They issued us a wrong type of room and as an apology upgraded us to a room with private onsen. The hotel is a bit old but is clean. Both the indoor and outdoor onsens are nice. The view of the sea from our room is gorgeous. The relaxation room is huge, there are massage chairs, board games, hammocks and lots of books for guests to enjoy. The buffet dinner is great, good variety (Japanese) and delicious. What surprises me is the free flow of alcohol; sake, wine, beer and even whisky! Service staff is helpful and professional. The carpark is opposite the hotel across the road, so it is better to drop off your luggage and travel buddies first.

Situated in Nishiizu, 400 metres from Sehama Beach, Umibenokakureyu Seiryu features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a bar and a private beach area. This 4-star ryokan offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The property is allergy-free and is located 12 km from Koibito Misaki Cape.

The breakfast was great. Not the usual breakfast at hotels. It was hot for a change. So many hotels in Japan pride themselves on getting the food on the table as soon as they can. Result is that the food is sitting there long before the hotel guests come down to eat it. In other words it is cold. The breakfast was far beyond my expectations and delicious.

Staff were very friendly and excellent customer service, helping us to book a dinner reservation nearby as the hotel was not offering dinner service the night we stayed. We enjoyed the free beer and soft drinks from 3-5pm with beautiful views. Onsen was busy but lovely.

Excellent staff support for our comfortable stay. Beautiful view. This is a perfect example of the family-style hot spring resort that is a more affordable experience based on the ryokan model. Personally, I love it for the amenities, large tatami rooms, buffet, hot springs and general sense of relaxation. New Ginsui is a perfect version of that style and exactly what I wanted.

My first ever scored 10 hotel. Exceptional. The view cannot be beaten from your room. Untouched natural beauty off the tourist trail. The drive in (free hotel shuttle from bullet train station) was amazing and basically a tour ride. The natural spring onsen and free open lounge bar were outstanding. I can’t believe this place even exists. You will not regret it. Rooms may be a little pricey depending on your dates, but worth every single cent. Wow.
