The Hostel is really, really nice and very big. So except for the Kitchen that obviously has to be shared, there’s a lot of room for everyone to also have some privacy. The room in the attic is very comfortable and big as well with its own modern bathroom and tv with access to all streaming platforms (if you have an account of course). The house was cleaned frequently and the host is so so nice! We had some issues with our room lock (self made problem - don’t lock the door from the inside when you’re leaving as my boyfriend did 😂) and they were very quick with helping us over the phone and the issue could be resolved within minutes! We went there in January and stayed there 3 nights. Very pleasant stay! Thank you!

Friendly and welcoming host. The room was very spacious and had a TV with Netflix. The location was good about a 20-minute walk to the ferry to lisbon. There was a communal kitchen with free tea and coffee and an outdoor seating area.

The apartment definitely has a zen like quality about it.
Some really nice touches, such as the wine and the biscuits were greatly received.
Communication with the owner was good no issues there.
The views from the apartment just heavenly.
Peaceful.and tranquil wonderful start and end to each day looking out onto the ocean.
The balcony was an unexpected treat able to get more sun as it was a lovely sun trap and also watch the birds.
A really positive experience all in all.

We were officially visiting Lisbon, but chose Almada as our pied-a-terre due to its proximity and connectedness. We did buy a Lisboa pass which we understood would connect us from the Fertagus station on the Almada side to our place but it did not although the busses are run by the same company. That was the only unfortunate surprise we had. We explored Almada, Sintra and Lisboa during our three day stay and had a great time! This place comes highly
recommended.

I could not find fault with anything.
I could not find fault with anything. Staff were friendly and very kind. Food was freshly prepared and good variation also very tasty. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and all communal rooms the same high standard. Bathroom was spotless. In general we would recommend to anyone and will be staying there again next visit.

The area around the hotel (Mercure Almada) is mostly residential with the court house down the block. It was very safe to walk around and there are plenty of places to eat along with quite a few stores/businesses. The metro is very easy to use and the bus stops in front of hotel. I was able to explore the area and go to Lisbon with ease.

I think it is worth visiting Almada, I di not have enough time to see all I wanted. 1 days stay. It is of course quite different to North side Lisbon. You really have to be prepared to walk up hill and down dale.

Almada is a very nice place to stay.
Almada is a very nice place to stay. It is easy to get around Almada centre and the tourist places. To get to Lisbon is quite easy too. The ferry is so convenient, cheap and not far away from where I am staying.
I really enjoyed Almada.

The Cacilhas Apartments were located very close to the Tram stops, which made it easy to go to my work-related meetings, and were very close to the Ferry docks, which took me to Lisbon in 10 minutes. I had the best of both worlds. They are located in a pedestrian walk that is full of restaurants.
The location was perfect-out of the bustle of downtown Lisbon and just a fifteen minute ferry ride to Almada where there was everything we needed very close by. The apartment was clean and modern with nice decorative touches, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Best of all, Simao and Edgar are warm and hospitable hosts, very responsive and were a great source of information for the area.
Communication was excellent.
The ladies were friendly helpful and shared local knowledge and ideas which were great.
Very easy access locally and into Lisbon.
Unit was wonderfully located on a friendly and local community street and bedroom was very quiet.
Everything in the unit was well appointed, it was very clean and well laid out.
Would happily return.
Many thanks
It is reasonably close to Lisbon center: tram + ferry will take 30-60 min depending on the time of day and your luck.
Alamada itself is also interesting town and one can also take a quick bus (15-30 min ride) to the ocean
Very quiet, very clean. If you have 3 couples then you can rent out the whole guest house and have complete privacy!
Pam was a fabulous, helpful host who upgraded us to the top floor apartment when there was a misunderstanding with the booking. Great location close to the river and ferry to Lisbon. Lots of great cafes and restaurants. Very good shower, comfy bed, very clean. Also, great view from one window down to the river with Lisbon in the distance.
The best hotel of my journey to Portugal! Excellent location - in several minutes by ferry from Lisboa center. Amazing host who kindly met us and explained everything about public transport, shops etc. We parked the car just in the street near the house, for free. The patio was extremely nice. I recommend ❤
Kumar was incredibly helpful and friendly. He helped me find things to do (since I booked last minute) and was always available to help. I rented a car, but most days I just used the ferry to cross the river and get into the city. It's a great budget option for visiting Lisbon.
Room was comfortable, hotel was quiet and in a pleasant location. It was close enough to the beach for a day visit and easy enough to reach Lisbon centre. Perfect for a shortish stay if you want the option of being away from the sometimes over busy city centre.
Location was in the centre of the main route through Almada, which gave good access to local shops.
Parking can be a little tricky, but there is a paid car park close by.
Flat felt you were visiting friends, suited me perfectly, and was exceptionally clean.
Really nice, well-run hostel with an unparalleled hilltop view of Lisbon from across the Tagus River. Expansive and roomy common areas. The dormitory-style bedrooms are as expected. Finally, the provided breakfast is a great way to start the day.
Jose and Ester are amazing people and we loved our stay in Lisbon! The apartment is beautiful. Shared with them and other hosts. It has a beautiful patio to sit at during the day. The breakfast was delicious.
There is nothing we didn’t like.
Good location not far from ferry to central Lisbon. I wanted to be a bit off the beaten track for tourists, and this fit the bill. Room was spacious, with a separate dressing room and separate bath.
The was very cozy and arranged with style.
The location is in the nicest and oldest part of Almada close to the spectacular view of the river.
The host was kind, polite and attentive.
Amazing views and truly authentic neighborhood. Much better than tourist-packed Lisbon itself. Apartment is also spacious enough to work comfortably if you're going for 'workation'.
Simply the best place ever if you want to visit Lisbon but sleep and relax in a quiet area. 8min boat ferry and you're in the city center. I'm coming here next time, no doubt.
