The hotel entrance was nice, but the rooms are getting outdated and need to be renovated. You can see in the flooring and walls that there are some upgrades need.

Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Gondola rides was closed that time, for 5 days under maintanances must be mentioned or announced in your offer, so I dont have to booked too near to location a bit disappointed..but overall we still enjoyed downtown Baff.
The Banff YWCA exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveller. For me, a luxury hotel is not important as I prefer to be out exploring and just needed a place to lay my head that was budget friendly. The room was very basic but clean and comfy. There’s a full size fridge and microwave for guests to use in lobby, ice machine and Coinamatic laundry facilities. The location is perfect, right beside the river and just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown. Staff was excellent as well.
This cozy cabin was our favorite stay on our Banff/Jasper trip. We enjoyed building a crackling fire in the fireplace and having a nice table to play games at together with mountain views out the window. The location was great--close to Johnston Canyon and not far from Lake Louise/Moraine Lake. The staff was friendly, and check in & out was easy. We appreciated the complimentary bundle of firewood and cookies in the cabin. Would definitely recommend!
The staff was friendly and helpful. Even before we departed the United States, the hotel 'concierge' swiftly and successfully booked Banff gondola tickets through Pursuit and bus transfers from/to Calgary and between Banff and Lake Louise with Brewster Express! Although the Royal Canadian Lodge was one of the hotels located furthest away from town, it was a relatively short walk there, and the shuttle stop was steps from the front door.
Nice location for Banff town, 20 minute slow walk or 5 mins on the cheap frequent local busses that run past the hotel, the stop is only a minutes walk from the hotel. We used the outside spa which was fun, good to catch up with some of the other guests. Underground car park was cheap and very convenient, they did suggest you can park for free round the back of the hotel but it didn't look somewhere I'd want to leave the car.
Juniper Hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and the view from the Bistro was one of the best in the whole of Banff. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering a shuttle into town and also free rentals of snowshoes, ice cleats, hiking backpacks and bear spray. I would recommend anyone staying in Banff to stay at the Juniper hotel!
We were only 2 guests, so having a queen-sized bed all to yourself was wonderful! The room was very big and spacious, as well as the bathroom. The hotel was only a 5 minute drive away from Banff Town which was convenient. If you don't have a car, they also offer shuttle rides to and from town for convenience and there isn't any need to park your vehicle.
The Banff inn was in a great location to downtown. The hotel was very very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk agent made our trip . on arrival she told us a lot of great info on what to do in the area and helped us book our gondola tickets .. the housekeeping were very friendly and the room was exceptionally clean !
Amazing stay, best of our Canada roadtrip. Alexandra, her husband and Esther are the best hosts ever. The bed and the room were excellent and the breakfast was superb. 5min walk from Banff centre. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Warm and welcoming, yet quite and private. Perfect!
Everything was perfect. Will come back.
The room was very clean, we had a complaint about a dog in a room next to our(whining), we called the receptionist and within a couple of minutes they have resolved the problem. Recommending this hotel in Banff.
Very clean and comfortable room. Insight restaurant very good for dinner. Delicious Mexican food. Right downtown Banff. Very walkable to shops and stores. Close to Lake Louise and Moraine and many other great spots and trails.
The staff…exceptional. Fun, helpful. We stayed in a VERY expensive hotel in Lake Louise the three nights prior and our experience at the Canalta was 100% better! If we come back to the area we will for sure be back!
The location is great, just a couple of blocks from restaurants and shops in downtown Banff. There is also a supermarket a block from the hotel. Underground parking and ski storage are easily accessible.
Convenient location of the hotel on Banff Avenue. There is convenient parking. The room is quite spacious and quiet. There is a shower and a bath. The hotel has a swimming pool. Wi-Fi is fast enough.
The hotel is okay particularly in terms of location. It is just almost a walking distance to Banff downtown. The suite that we booked is very spacious and we like the balcony with the mountain view.
The location, the staff, the rooms and the facilities they are all good.
You would get a visa pass to downtown banf and to lake Louise and almost all of the attractions in banf
Three things I like the most about Peaks are:
1. Location - close to the ski shuttle stop and Banff downtown;
2. Cleanness of the room and the hotel in general;
3. Quietness;
