We had the most amazing stay at Loma Nevada. The views from our balcony in the cabin were incredible, and we were so comfortable there we didn't want to leave! Food was delicious at the restaurant and all staff were so warm and welcoming. We did a guided walk to a waterfall one morning which was beautiful. The hotel pets made our stay even better!

The dome we stayed in with our private jacuzzi was lovely, lovely terrace overlooking the mountains, I booked it for me and my partners anniversary. Good food, the staff are friendly and went above and beyond to cater for all my extra requests. Muchos gracias!

Great location right in the village but still with a good view/outlook from the veranda/breakfast area. Loved sitting eating breakfast (which was GREAT by the way!) whilst watching all the humming birds! Staff were incredibly friendly :)

It was an unforgettable experience walking through nature, seeing the rivers and waterfalls. The variety of birds, the tranquility of being surrounded by so many sounds, breathtaking sunsets. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and place. Will do it again, highly recommended.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

Loved Minca so much.
Loved Minca so much. The town feels very catered to tourists and it was hard to find a cheap, local restaurant with a menu del dia for example but there are lots of good western-ish options and the wildlife/surrounding area is so beautiful. Highly recommend the Cerro Kennedy hike (stay at El Ramo) too.

Minca is a fantastic place to visit to get a sense of the mountainous area of Colombia and its lush and alluring jungle with all the glory of its flora and fauna. Only a short drive from the Santa Marta airport, you find ourself in a little village that is a haven to hikers, motocross bikers, and bird watchers. There are many places to eat with a variety of cuisines and for the most part the food was good. Our favorite activity was birdwatching. We had fantastic outings booked through Jungle Joe. Our guides Tony Martin and Gustavo Viloria were both extremely professional and informed. We loved the La Vittoria Coffee Plantation tucked away in the jungle. Another favorite was Rio Elemento, a hotel/restaurant on the banks of the river with an awesome swing that carries you over the rushing waters.ValPalUnited States - 6.0Scored 6.0

It is very pretty and I appreciated the access to other types of food since we had been traveling the Colombia for a bit and had been exclusively eating traditional colombian food. You cannot speak about Minca without mentioning the bugs, they are terrible! the worse part is you don’t really see them or know when you are being bit. You just look down and your legs are covered in bites. Also there is a new age spirituality vibe that is strongly felt in the town.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

If you don’t mind walking a bit up hill and through the forest to get there, you are rewarded with tranquility and peace. It’s a 20 minute walk from the centre of Minca on the way to Marinka waterfalls. You are surrounded by nature and Nore and Carlo are super lovely and attentive hosts. The grounds have a couple places to hang out and there is a small pool and jacuzzi down the hill by the river. It's around a 15 minute walk to the main street, however, there are other hostels nearby to get food and drinks since the hotel only offers breakfast. If you don't want to walk you can arrange a motor bike taxi to take you to and from - what a wonderful weekend in Minca!

The staff are a small family that helped us with all our requests. I needed a laptop for an interview and the owner lent me his. His mother made my partner coffee in the morning (complimentary) and they even let us leave our bags for a couple of hours after check out. If you are in Minca you should definitely stay here.
