Located in Kihei and only 70 metres from Mai Poina Beach, Nona Lani Cottages provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 600 metres from Kalepolepo Beach. The property features barbecue facilities and outdoor furniture. We loved the warmth of this Family Run Motel and Cottages. The grounds were well maintained and the location right across from the beach and ocean was fabulous! Also the location for easy drives to shopping, restaurants and other sites was great! The beach here is beautiful enabling lengthy walks and swimming/sailboarding etc. Our room was comfortable and clean with a small fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and bathroom shampoo, conditioner etc as well as shared use of a microwave right outside our door, Our porch was ground level enabling easy access to the grounds and quiet space. Great recommends for nearby restaurants and sight-seeing by the family were appreciated. Would loved to have stayed longer!

There was fresh fruit and avocado in the fridge everyday and you are welcome to stroll around on the premises and pick any of the seasonal fruits. We ate lychee e.g. directly from the tree. It's a must if you visit big island and like to be in the less crwoded countryside.

Cosy, homey and clean, this place is a hidden gem nested in a residential area in Hilo, away from all the noise and bustling commercial area, yet it's within minutes of drive to the busy area of the town. Sitting on a gentle slope, Hawaiian Ohana Home also offers a great view of the surrounding area. However, what makes Hawaiian Ohana Home truly exceptional is its owner, Diana. I struggle to put it in words; in short, Diana is like that cool aunt that I never had: although we've only met, it felt like I came to visit a beloved family member. I could tell that other guests shared my feeling based on the atmosphere around the table at breakfast times, it felt like a family reunion. During my trip in Hawaii, I've learned that "ohana" means "family", and Hawaiian Ohana Home certainly is true to its name. If I'll drop by Hilo again, I know where I'll be staying at.
