Our room was right on the river so we went to sleep to the sound of the river flowing, it was stunning! There were a lot of walks around the area to do and the breakfast at the hotel was delicious. There was also a great pub down and the road and some other restaurants and grocery shops. All you need. The room was beautiful and clean and very spacious! Highly reccomend.

In the mornings, guests at the Foxghyll Country House can enjoy full cooked breakfast. Breakfast superb. Owners very friendly and helpful. Rooms good size and very comfortable. Great location with short walk into town. Grounds spacious and well kept. Maps, torches etc available if required.

A maximum of 5 guests can use the leisure club's swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, solarium and gymnasium. The apartment is large and is very well equipped. it is very homely and right in the town center. it is close to the train station and near to shops and restaurants.

Just a mile from Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District, this luxury boutique hotel offers home-cooked food and free Wi-Fi. Windermere Rail Station is only 15 minutes’ walk away, and there is free parking on site.

Rooms all feature a large widescreen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, and a king-size bed and luxury bathroom. Some luxury suites have outdoor hot tubs and seating areas. Overall, everything was perfect. The room was large enough, the supplies were sufficient, and the service staff were very kind and tried their best to meet all our needs during our stay. I have to mention Charlie, he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met in the UK. The hot tub should be the biggest feature of this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed it for three whole days and were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the two towns of Bowness and Windermere, and it is very convenient to walk to both towns. In any case, I will definitely recommend this hotel next time I come to the Lake District, or if my friends want to travel to the Lake District.

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. It offers delicious cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, less than 10 minutes' walk away from Windermere Railway Station. The room was amazing (the bed was so comfy!), great choice for breakfast, location is perfect within walking distance to shops and bars, and the hosts were very warming! Thank you for giving us an amazing stay 😄

There is free access to an off-site health club, located 2 miles from St John's Lodge. This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. Very lovely owner Mr Rich his family, spotlessly clean and tidy room, comfortable beds, excellent location, walking and midway between the city center and the lake. Very quite and calm area. The offsite Health Club was a good bonus with a walk a cross fabulous areas.The breakfast was excellent and you don’t need any meal after it throughout the day. You feel like you are at your own house.
