The cottage is a hidden gem. We loved everything about it. We are a retired couple traveling by bicycle with our adult daughter and young grandson. We spent 2 nights in the cottage. It is right in the middle of the city, close to everything, tucked away with its own private terrace. It was clean, quiet, nicely renovated and updated, and very comfortable. We cooked dinners and breakfasts, washed clothes, relaxed, visited the chateau and Clos Luce, shopped. It was perfect. We highly recommend the accommodation, host, and location.

Where to start?! The cottage was clean and lovely and had large windows making it airy and comfortable. The cottage is also located at about a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk from the nearby town where Château Royal d'Amboise and Clos Lucé are located. Our host was very friendly and gave us pamphlets of things to do around Amboise. She brought us fresh breakfast everyday, consisting of baguettes, fresh made yogurt, fresh fruit, home-made jam, and eggs. She responded quickly to messages and always asked if we needed anything. It was a wonderful stay overall!

We did not meet the host, but we got support on phone within just a few minutes when we needed. Comfortable beds, good toys for the kids and superb bathtubs. Easy 10 min. walk to the city center over the bridge. Nice welcome from Mary when we arrived. The bedroom and bath were beautifully updated. The shared kitchen worked well for us with coffee, tea, and a refrigerator. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant at the end of the street with an incredible view of the Chateau d'Amboise which is lit up at night. We would definitely stay here again.
