If you are looking for luxury, there are many other places in Leh, but if you are looking for care and a feel of belonging, stay nowhere else . Food is freshly made , you are always greeted with a smile , everything is simple and straightforward, if looking for fancy stuff go elsewhere, if looking for a great host stay here .

The owner, Gonbo, was incredibly hospitable, from offering fresh mint tea when mint was harvested in the garden to making a bonfire at night. With many years of experience as a travel guide, he arranged our inner line permits and drivers and offered valuable advice about local places and food. The balcony from the room had a great view of the castle, Shanti Stupa, the garden, and the mountains. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was really great, although we had to wait quite a while for it. The highlight was really the balcony looking out on the garden! The only issue was that it was incredibly loud at night. The linens are soft and the shower has an electric heater for hot water. We used the affiliated Ecological Footprint to plan our trek to the Markha Valley. Stanzin hired friendly and skilled guides and crew. The staff made the trek fun and the food on the trek was was excellent.
