The shower is an old bathtub fitted with a shower head. It is difficult to step out of; it's quite dangerous. The elevator is confusing, sometimes the card is necessary, sometimes it's not needed. The air conditioning is switched off at 10pm and it wasn't clear how to turn it on.

The location is great and the staff is friendly.

Let’s start with a positive. The staff are trying their best. 100% orange juice…The problem with zlaty Lev is encapsulated with this. Instead of juice you get orange water. I get the impression that the management are trying to save every Czech crown where they can. From the cheapest toilet paper (a sort of greyish brown colour that reminded me of primary school) and I didn’t want to use, to our “junior suite”. junior suite: evocative of a modicum of luxury, oh how quickly we were disavowed of the notion. No air con, a used tissue behind the sofa and a receipt from the previous occupants, dusty shelves, curtains that just simply felt dirty and the heat. Brutal. We walked in and it was like a sauna. We asked for a fan. And one duly arrived, in a box to assemble ourselves. Having made the schoolboy error of not anticipating that I would need a screwdriver for our stay in a four star hotel, we asked for one pre-made that was eventually delivered, followed by the one in the box that the janitor kindly assembled. There was a child’s graffiti of a dog in the bedroom on the wall, the room was such an awkward layout that we kept bumping into each other. And the whole thing felt like I expected John Cleese and Manuel to burst in at any moment. The breakfast was ok, despite the 100% juice. But we cancelled our second night. And we won’t be back. Ever. I want to underline, none of this fault is of the staff, friendly and accommodating despite our clear irritation. This goes to the top of a management trading on past glory, trying to pass on a toothless crony in cheap imitation jewellery as a grand old dame with heirloom diamonds. Sad.

It was a wonderful stay! Very nice clean room and beautiful selection food for the breakfast. Staff is very friendly and works elegantly well. I will definitely recommend this hotel. Location is also perfect - shopping mall is just in front and the market place is within 5 min walk!

The room. It was terrible. Noisy non-switchable AC. Extremely soft bed. But the worst thing: the bathroom. There was no built shower, so i needed to have shower in the tub. Approximately after 10 seconds, the water could not be drained. There was a 10+ cm deep water almost immediately that could not even disappear after 10 minutes. Long hairs were swimming there, bubbles were coming up from the draining system. This room needs a renovation and a refurbishment. Some smudges on the chair. I can just hope that it was let's say: beer, and was not other organic..

The bathroom was dated and for a 4* hotel didn't have any toiletries apart from liquid soap. Shower very dated. Breakfast bar very limited for vegetarians and lactose intolerant individuals, plant based butter not available, only upon repeated request.

Size of the room. Helpful reception staff. Location - walking distance to the main square and restaurtants.

Breakfast was very poor. All the time was missing something and nobody cared to fil it up. The choice of food is not that big at all. For such type of hotel you expect much better service and condition of room then it is now. Some smaller hotels have much better breakfast and stuff .

This hotel was really good and functional. Only think I was missing was allergine markings at breakfast.

Location is best possible, just two minutes walk to town central, shopping mall etc. Also parking front of hotel was really useful for us. Another bonus thing is Sauna and Whirlpool at basement, you have to pay little extra, but it is worth. Take at least 90 minutes value time and relat at Sauna department!

I liked everything.

The stay was kinda short, it was not enough to make full judgement. However, I liked the location, breakfast, cleanliness and everything. Staff are relaxed and helpful. The city is amazing. Parking available, of course, since it is the center, it is for a fee.

The room and bed was very small. Bathroom door locker was broken.Ventilation full of dust.The bathroom shell was stuck.In the shampoo was filled with water,impossible to wash. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel to anyone,even for one night.

The hotel is centrally located with very good breakfast, plenty of car parking place, minute by walking from the center square of the city, but located in a quite place fronting the big park. I would recommend to stay there for sure for short time or for a longer

The beds are a bit small.

Everything is wonderful about this hotel: central location and not being in a crowded area, the amazing building from 1906, very elegant interior design and decorations, huge rooms, cool bathtub, kind staff, very good quality and variety for breakfast. Also we got a free bottle of still water in the room.

Hard to say... Maybe restaurant could be opened but it was off the season and a great hospoda is just on the corner.

Very nice hotel in a great location - just next to the castle, 5 minute on foot to the market square. Polite and friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms. Kettle in the room, some coffee and tea too. Safe and nice view included. Parking next to the hotel priced moderately. Breakfast was rich and tasty.

I paid more than 5000czk for 3 nights with breakfast. The spa was booked. The hotel restaurant too. The view from my room was parking lots. The water was yellow during 35 minutes. The soap dispenser almost empty. On the reception each time I asked where I can find attractions to do, restaurants or lounge bars to go to ...the magical answer was ,,around the corner,,. Honestly around the corners I did not see much. I visited Liberec for the first time so I had no idea how far around the corner things are. It should have been the work of the reception staff to know where and give recommendations. Also when I asked about the tram connections, they didn't know which trams operate which directions. I'm disappointed by them. It's supposed to be a four star hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and classy but the reception staff lacks interest in their jobs. Not being able to give clear directions and recommendations, talking with nonchalant tone and always making me feel like I bore them... I will so, not return there and not recommend this hotel. It's sad because some of the people working there are very invested in what they do. But others are really paid in the wind as it seams. The service of a four star hotel should not only consist in the apparences of class, it should also provide care and interest into making all their guest feel good and looked after.

Gluten free breakfast available. Sadly only on two from 3 breakfasts I paid. I have many food restrictions and it made the breakfast not really worth paying for. But the breakfast staff was always kind and professional.

Dust on the table in our room. Someone's pants in the corner... Was it at all cleaned before our arrival?! The bed was actually not a big one, but two separate beds put together, and it was very uncomfortable. We paid additional fee to visit SPA. One jacuzzi and two saunas. It is difficult to call it SPA center. And there is NO water to drink! You have to go out and buy it at the reception... Awful
