Kusatsu
Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. The dinner was probably the best dining experience I have had in Japan so far, especially the sashimi; everything was perfectly seasoned. I would recommend everyone to reserve (in advance) their dinner at least once to know how good their food is. Everyone always address my needs as far as they can provide, and always with a warm smile on their face. This is the absolute Japanese hospitality experience bar none. The owner (and almost every staff there) can speak perfect english so you will never have any problem with the language barrier. Love the private onsen. I take baths every day, sometimes twice a day. The cold winter helps.

It was the perfect place to stay after watching the wisterias and cherry blossoms at Ashikaga Flower Park. Less than 30 minutes door to door using JR (train). The location is superb - a renovated traditional Japanese house, with tons of character. The food (Argentinian, Spanish) was excellent! I'm from Spain, and loved everything we tried: chorizos, Argentinian empanadas, Huevo roto (french fries, ham and fried egg). Dinner was delicious, wonderfully paired with great wine, and the fun company of our hosts, Gabriel and Yoko. A joyful place to rest and disconnect from the outside world. The music selection was impeccable and added to the ambiance. It was a wonderful experience. Net, net: wonderful Latin/Spanish food, inspiring lodging and fun company.

The Breakfast was incredible the beds were comfortable the aesthetic of the place was so soothing and nice and had a traditional Japanese feel to the rooms and perfect size for just me and my husband. Great location, less than 10 mins walk to the village center. Amazing staffs and really good hotel amenities. I would definitely go back in the future!
Location is amazing! It’s a bit far from the station but they have shuttle service to get people from and to the station. Outdoor baths are very relaxing. I got sick and had to go to the hospital. They arranged ambulance for us and transportation to bring us back to the resort after. They even went to the village the next day to get fresh fruits for us. The bedroom and beds are so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Food is amazing too! The staff was very nice and polite, they care a lot about their customers.
I booked a log house bungalow which is a entirely fresh experience from the usual hotel room. My wife and I felt like vacationing in our own holiday home with the cozy and home feeling. Everyone with own car should try it.
The Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village is more a resort than a hotel. I don’t know when it was built, but I’m guessing around the mid-seventies, when the resort was probably a very nice place to spend your vacation. The baths are very nice. The staff is top notch!!! Helpful and nice at all times. But then again, so was every person we met in Japan for 3 weeks, so I’m sure you would find that on other local hotels as well.
The host is very nice. He picked us up at the bus station and drove us back when we left. The apartment is spacious and has it's own private hot spring :D laundry hanging was prepared and we could wash our stuff, which was brilliant. The neighborhood is quiet, which we liked very much, even if it is a 20 min walk into the village center.
It's a very spacious vacation home with a private hot spring at an affordable price! The staff is also very friendly and accomodating.
