The location is superb - a renovated traditional Japanese house, with tons of character. The food (Argentinian, Spanish) was excellent! I'm from Spain, and loved everything we tried: chorizos, Argentinian empanadas, Huevo roto (french fries, ham and fried egg). Dinner was delicious, wonderfully paired with great wine, and the fun company of our hosts, Gabriel and Yoko. A joyful place to rest and disconnect from the outside world. The music selection was impeccable and added to the ambiance. It was a wonderful experience. Net, net: wonderful Latin/Spanish food, inspiring lodging and fun company.

The Houshi Chojukan Onsen hotel is a 20-minute drive from arts and crafts village Takumi-no-Sato. Mount Tanigawa-dake can be visited a 1-hour drive away. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

I lost my ring in the onsen and the next morning, when asked about it, they are able to return it to me.
