Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine.

The tastefully decorated chalets are fully equipped and some of them offer views. Each unit comes with a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Nature at its best. Very clean. Service was 5 star. Ranier was very helpful and gave good advise. We appreciate his concern when we came home late at night. Everyone agreed to rate this as excellent!

Some units include a seating area and/or a patio. we loved everything about Umkumbe safari lodge. the staff were incredibly nice and anticipated every need. the views from the property were amazing. we saw a troop of baboons and a herd of elephants. then the safaris! our guide Shannon was so awesome! she found so many animals and had a wealth of information about every animal. it was unforgettable!!!

Some accommodation includes a balcony with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen and a shared bathroom with bath. Fantastic all round. Lovely setting. Room was really lovely and luxurious. But most of all was the fantastic and lovely, friendly people working there from Fortune to the other restaurant people and fabulous chef who prepared really great vegetarian meals for me each evening. This was just a really brilliant place to stay.
