“we absolutely love it and choose to stay 2 more days. absolutely beautiful beach and pool the staff are so friendly and ready to help. we took a trip to pigeon island which was wicked saw lots of shark and turtles great place can see Fisher men on the beach which is lovely food was great and have a good choice and good price we had a dinner on the beach bbq spa was beautiful one of the best parts for me I feel in love with one of the beach dogs. would go back and thinking of going back next year”

If somebody I knew was visiting Uppuveli I would tell them to stay here, especially as it seems they are expanding their business and it will soon be even nicer! Also the location is ideal. Right next to 4 of the top 5 restaurants in Trincomalee on trip advisor. The walk to the beach is also only about 5 minutes. Given in Uppuveli you can either be next to nice restaurants or next to beach (the beach side restaurants aren't very nice) i would definitely choose this way around. Also I know others had issues with cold showers but whilst I was there this was not a problem. The water was warm enough in the morning not to be unpleasant and by afternoon when the sun had presumably been shining on the tank the showers were very warm!”

“I ended up staying 3 night more than intended, mostly because I was waiting for the sea to get less rough and then go to pigeon island, but also because it was so nice at Little White House. The manager really does everything to make it as pleasant stay as possible. In the morning we got eggs, toast and fruit + coffee/tea. For dinner the manager cooked very good food for us. The beach is only 5 minutes walk from the guest house. There is around 3-4 restaurants in the area as well. I give it 10/10 in the perspective, that it is a guesthouse, not a hotel. It very good value for the money.”

“The best bit about staying in Trincomalee was staying in Sasvi Holiday Inn. The family were great, with two lively little boys who were great fun! The host couple were really helpful; he made us breakfast early every morning (even the first morning we turned up 4 hours early, and he made up the room early!) and she made us up some curry and local fruit to try one evening! They drove us to the bus station in Trincomalee when we left, and let us use their computer to book our next accommodation. The room itself was great, with air con, a fan, a clean bathroom, and comfortable beds - a really lovely stay with really lovely people.”
