“We were a group of four friends and loved staying here. It was a beautiful, exciting change after Bangkok. We swam in the river, had food in their great restaurant 3 or 4 times (banana blossom salad!) and took part in a couple of the excursions that you could book with them. The guide who took us on the excursions (Tu might have been his name?) was a really great guy who was warm, welcoming and made us laugh a lot. We tried to stay a night longer but it was understandably all booked up! The rooms were very clean but bungalow-jungle-rustic which we enjoyed. Saw lots of butterflies, chipmunks(?) and a huge lizard. So nice. All the staff was very helpful when we had questions and flexible when we had last-minute changes to make.”

“Bun was the most amazing host. She was so welcoming as soon as we arrived. She organised for us to go and see the monkeys at the local temple which was holding a festival. It was so fantastic that we even won a Hello Kitty pillow which made the stay even more comfortable. If Bun is here when you go you will have the most fun time. She sorted everything out for our trip to the jungle and supplied us with everything we needed and even helped us pack as we tried to pack too much stuff. The tree house is like paradise in the middle of the jungle. You wake up to the sounds and smells of the forest and would love to come back here to escape city life.”

She helped us book our tour to kao sok at a very good price and she was superbly helpful as she even gave the medication I had mistakenly left in my room a to the bus driver to give to me. Literally a lifesaver this woman. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was lovely and the beds actually had springs which is a surprise for us in Thailand! So comfy. I would definitely recommend this place.”

(Transportation can be easily arranged also) The family speaks good English and happily help with travel plans, questions, etc. The food is great. We usually had a big breakfast and then were off for the day of activity, returning for a big dinner. Hilltop Resort enhanced our stay in Khol Sok enormously.”
