Fantastic country house set on generous estate with private lake. Owner greeted me on arrival and showed me around. Fantastic bedroom and majestic bathroom. Bath towels were so soft and lovely to touch.

If you are looking for seclusion, this delightful guest wing sits within private grounds of a country house. Surrounded by vast land with variety of wildlife (including birds of prey and notably golden eagles), Glassford House lies on the outskirts of Milngavie town, a walkable distance to town Centre and train station. Eight miles from Glasgow City Centre and under half an hour drive from Glasgow Airport. This is an ideal holiday base offering outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, or golf-ing, whilst still being close to the city of Glasgow. Milngavie is considered by many as a gateway to the Highlands with Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within easy reach. Dis-cover the unknown tales of the seldom seen monster, the area around Loch Ness is also famous for having some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the UK. There are regular trains with journey times to Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow Airport is 40 minutes away and provides regular domestic and international flights.
