A stones throw from the beach, Southsea Retreat is full of character in one of the most desirable locations in Southsea. Please be aware, this is a private home and not a hotel so you are invited to make yourselves at home and discover peace and tranquility as the sun goes down and the beautiful lights in the public gardens opposite light up your evening. Nestled in Lennox Mansions, which was originally built as a seaside hotel in 1896 during the Victorian times. It is now a private residence. Its great spot for couples, families or a group of friends. When hiring the entire apartment, the main bedroom features a huge super king size, sink into the comfortable mattress to float off into a peaceful nights sleep. The second room has a 4ft bed. The sofa in the lounge is also a sofa bed. Great for extra guests and teens. The master bedroom when hiring the whole apartment is huge. We also have a travel cot (bring your own bedding for little ones or make do with the spare blankets) We also have a double blow up bed and a single blow up bed available to use. The sofa in the front room is large enough for two to sleep on. We don't mind you partying, there is an awesome Marshall speaker which you can use. But please keep it peaceful. The immaculate public gardens are across the road, you can picnic here & soak up the sun or keep walking a few minutes and you'll find yourself on the promenade and beach. Allocated parking in our driveway is free, which is a rare commodity in Portsmouth. If there is a group of you let us know as we can arrange a second parking space or give you a residents parking pass.

This is a tranquil, peaceful,high vibrational homely space where anyone that arrives is made to feel welcome. I run my holistic health business from this spacious roomy apartment when the entire apartment is not rented out to guests. We’re a few minutes walk through beautiful gardens to the beach and very central for all of Southsea’s bars and restaurants too. Free parking available which is rare in Portsmouth. All pets are welcome, we just ask for a small ten pound donation towards the cleaning when you leave.

This is a relaxed and friendly neighbourhood with stunning views everywhere you turn and wholesome fresh sea air. Its a ten minute walk to the Hovercraft or a short drive to the ferry where you can take a trip to the Isle of Wight and explore its sandy coves, coastline, historical buildings and classic English countryside. Canoe Lake and its family of swans is nearby with an out door children's play area. South Parade Pier is also a five minute walk with arcades, a fun fair and plenty of tasty places to eat. We are situated right on the edge of the picturesque, tree lined common where Victorious Festival is held every August bank holiday so its the perfect apartment to stay at and continue the party, with your very own parking space virtually next to the festival entrance. It’s also a wonderful place to stay for any Goodwood Festivals, being a half an hour drive or train journey to Glorious Goodwood. We're just over an hours train ride to Brighton and London if you're staying longer from overseas and want a day out in a busier city. Outside of Southsea and Portsmouth is The South Downs with its rolling countryside and classic hiking and cycling routes for adventurers.
