Fab location in the middle of the forest. Super comfortable bed. Good wifi. Lovely people. Delicious home made food. Kind hotel manager. Far from the noise of the city center. Great sleep.

If you want to experience a night in the jungle then this is your place. It was slightly tricky to find when we first arrived and there are over 100 steps up to the rooms so think carefully about your luggage. There's a small eating area and we were treated with tea and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was superb and vast - trying lots of Sri Lanka delicacies. The rooms are very natural and the bathroom is a little exposed so be prepared for a bit of wildlife, frogs etc. It's a few minutes out of Ella town however it was okay to walk to town during daylight hours. If you want to be in nature and enjoy the sounds then you'd love it.

The owner was very friendly and helpful and a lot of effort was put into our afternoon tea on arrival and traditional breakfast. Would definitely recommend. Quiet and beautiful spot under the trees, and a Tuktuk was organised for us for the short drive to the Main Street.

Amazing stay at Eco Village. We had a perfect stay at Eco Village, on arrival the host made dinner for us and every day the breakfast was different and delicious! The experience to be in a wood house was absolutely not forgettable for us! The soundproofing between the two rooms is not very good and you can hear everything, which for us was not a problem as we were a group of four but for some people might be a bit uncomfortable. As the house is in the jungle we had guests like monkeys and other animals :) overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend!

If you want to be more in nature, yet not travel too far for it, this is your place. You can see monkeys, squirell etc all around. Breakfast is really good! And staff is so incredibly friendly and helpfull! We weren't feeling well upon arrival, and upon our request he arranged delivery food for us, which his father collected for us.

This is an amazing private jungle hut among the canopies and wilderness yet close to Ella town. It’s a standout and perfect for those looking for an interesting experience. The rooms were comfortable but the shower had poor pressure and was cold. The staff were amazing and helped us a lot with arranging drivers to take us all around.

This place is amazing! The hosts are absolutely marvellous, they were so kind, and they gave us great tips for things to do in Ella: - a great cooking class at a guesthouse nearby - wonderful walk to Ella Rock starting right next to the guesthouse - a taxi to Yala at a really great price (first taxi we took in Sri Lanka since we did everything by bus previously) - a day trip to Haputale so we could take the famous train, but only the best part (we missed it in Kandy) The bed is amazing, the surroundings a green haven of peace, at least when it’s not the weekend or a holiday, it’s hard to find quiet in Sri Lanka during those days 😅 We could see lot’s of giant squirrels from our deck, and one morning we woke up by monkeys jumping on the roof 😊 The included breakfast was abundant and different everyday (we stayed 3 nights). After two weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka, we are confident to say that this was our favourite place.

The tree house was just perfect.. we loved the whole look of the outside and found it be immaculately clean. Breakfast was a total feast and changed daily. The owners were extremely hospitable, organising transport and places to go.
