A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts. A beautiful guest house run by a lovely couple who were very professional. The rooms were very big with great views (ground floor deluxe and loft), immaculately clean with traditional decor and attention to detail. Breakfast was amazing! The location was great for trips to Windermere (15 minutes) and other sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the near future. Highly recommended!!

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. My two daughters and I stayed in one of the family rooms for two nights during a visit to the Lake District and we all were very impressed with Ravenstone Manor. The food was amazing, the location near hiking trails was perfect and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Great location too near everything and had everything we needed in the room

Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.
