Wick
excellently laid out accommodation, very clean and modern. great location and parking simply at front door. bedrooms were cosy and cleanliness was exceptional throughout the property. everything supplied that any family or individual would need to enhance the stay. Fantastic location to explore Caithness and onwards to Orkney. I have stayed in all the local hotels over many years but from now on this little gem will be our destination if available.
After a couple of days of camping along the NC500 with my friends, a well needed break from the outdoors was welcomed. We booked Caithness Luxury Apartment in Wick and it was perfect! It felt like home away from home. Our host Sam was available and responsive to any questions we had. Definitely highly recommended when in the area and I would stay here again!
John O Groats
Puffin Cottage was a clean, cosy base to explore this corner of Caithness and get the passenger ferry to the Orkneys. The owner was welcoming and explained how Puffin Cottage operated on this working farm. Our room was very neat and clean. The local hotel with a restaurant was next door and the ferry was a short walk away.
We know the hotel from years back, it has been brought up to date in a positive way. Light bright and warm welcome. Rooms are good with a nice bathroom. Good selection of teas coffees and shortbread on hand. Friendly staff, Caithness folk are always welcoming. Definitely would stay again.
2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the living room - ideal for a family with 3 kids! Well equipped kitchen down stairs and more than one tv so again ideal for the kids in the evenings. Good location in wick and great for trips to the many hidden gems up and down the Caithness coastline
Excellent views, directly in the village. Easy to park and find location. Great apartment with everything needed for your stay. Host very good as sent us a list of things that we could do in the area and we booked onto the Caithness seacoast tour from that list.
Lovely hotel inside. Staff friendly and recommended the Caithness gin to me which has become a firm favourite now. Great value for money. Evening meal superb, portions huge so if you have a small appetite ask for a half portion.
This is my "Go-to" Hotel in Caithness. Well done the Private Owners - others should follow your lead but don't.
The restaurant was GREAT!!! Food was delicious. Plus you get a complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. One of the best meals we had for dinner the entire two weeks we were in Scotland! Also, the Old Wick Castle is just a couple miles down the road, beautiful!!
It is beautiful, comfortable, safe, clean, friendly and accommodating. It was a short walk from the train station, which is what I needed. It has the longest bathtub I’ve ever been in!! Great for a solo traveller.
