Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GhanaThe tv remote was not functioning most of the time and all the channels were in Arabic's.
The room was ok with the kitchenette where we were able to make meals for ourselves. The place was about 10 minutes away from the airport. the neighborhood is very cool with supermarket and restaurant at a minute walk from the hotel. and the best part was catching the metro at a 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.

PolandThere was ridiculously bad and interupting internet at all times (we stayed 9 days and almost every day we had issues). It is practically impossible to ''work from room'' and i had to in between online internet meetings rush off to connect on the hotspot to my mobile since the internet in the appartment kept getting disconnected. Despite multiple requests to the reception, they really did not help out. Not a complain, but while we were there, they also had a few days of cleaning the verandah: with liquids that had the smell of paint/kerosene which made it a bit difficult to move around the verandah to catch the lift. If such a maintenance activity was planned on the floor, they should not have given us a room on that floor. Do not expect to do an early check in. We literally had to roam around (After a very long flight) for almost 5 hours before we could check in.
The location was just perfect for us - we had specific reasons to be in that area. The room was well maintained and really appreciate the personnel helping out with the cleaning and support (Especially: Tahir Ali who was quite helpful at all times). Breakfast was sufficent and always had a variety across days. The rooms were spacious and the environment was quite well maintained and clean.
