How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Apartment furniture a bit dated. There are no international plugs, which must be a must in luxury hotels. Room service not top, but good enough.
Staff was super helpful. Apartment was extra spacious and kitchen well equipped. Spa close to apartments was nice. Breakfast in the hotel expensive but worth the price, and waiters were very diligent.

Staff friendliness is variable. More utensils should be available in the kitchen without having to ask for them. Standard of service assistants is variable.

The staff were extremely helpful specially on the day we arrived. We managed to arrive despite the morning rsin and flood. They went out of their way try to help as my family were stuck in Sharjah airport. They were very helpful throughout our stay.

The water/swimming facilities for children were closed and there was no note on the booking site at the time of booking that there was renovation or improvements underway. As a result the pool was overcrowded with children/babies and very uncomfortable

Quite old fashioned style of furniture inside of the apartment.
Extremely spacious and well appointed for the 7 people of our family: Three adults and 4 teenagers. All four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and large wardrobes, comfortable beds and good aircon. The swimming pool and the gym, restaurants were excellent. Staff very diligent.

All facilities are in the hotel block with nothing in the apartment block. Pillows and mattress uncomfortable

I was upgraded to two bedroom apartment. As expected the decor and fittings were a little dated but everything was clean and functional. The only problem I had was the washing machine broke down and this was fixed very quickly by on site staff. A member of staff arrived less than 10 minutes after I reported the problem. I did use the kitchen facilities but just for eating breakfast and preparing hot drinks. For a family with young children this would be really useful. The onsite shop had fresh milk which I really appreciated for my morning cup of tea. I had full access to the hotel’s facilities which are very good. The main hotel area which includes many different types of restaurants is a superb space with an indoor garden surrounded by different types of restaurants, most of which had outside space which was not really relevant during my stay during one of the cooler months of the year. I appreciated the indoor and outdoor pool as during my stay one day was cloudy and wet so I used the indoor pool. It also opens earlier at 7.00 am whilst the outdoor pool opens at 9.00 am. The changing facilities, lockers etc at the outdoor pool are excellent. I used them on my last day after I had checked out to swim, shower and change so it was great to have a hair dryer there. All the staff were excellent.

The room service is not that good There was no dental kit. We had to ask for the same for so many times but we weren’t provided with any. We even had to ask for the water as well. It’s not expected from a brand like you. I have put up here many a times before and this time was below expectations

Felt a little overpriced as we opted the refundable option , please book the non cancellation option where you save more
The apartment is big and spacious , even though it looks dated but it is well maintained and neat , very good for a family of 8 to 10 people and the kitchen has everything that we need , The grocery store inside the hotel is really good and open for a long time in the evening for all your daily needs , overall a very good apartment and good location , we thoroughly enjoyed the stay
