Centrally located. Just across the bridge from the Old Town. It is also just a short walk from Mirabell Gardens and about 20 minutes walk to the train station. Room was good sized. You can get complimentary bottled water and chocolates from reception. There are also umbrellas that can be loaned if it is raining. Staff are friendly. The rooftop bar has an awesome view of Salzburg. Do check it out if you're at this hotel

The bathroom set does not offer a hygiene kit like a shower cap, toothpaste, toothbrush . Slippers are on demand.

Warm welcome with Austrian candies at the reception, love it! Excellent location, modern rooftop bar that provides an unique view of the fortress, Salzach and part of the old town. The hotel staff and the bar personnel are very polite and professional, fitting in the needs of the customers. The room was modern ( especially the lighting, and the colors of the furniture); the double bed was very comfortable; I love the natural cosmetics by St. Charles ( shampoo, conditioner, shower and hand gel, body and hand cream);

Nothing. It is a lovely hotel and there isn't anything to dislike.

Everything. The room was so comfortable and a lovely size. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and the shower amazing. The view from our room at the front overlooking the city wad spectacular. The hotel decor was so arty and luxurious. The roof too bar was fantastic and so were the cocktails.

I didn't have the breakfast but the location was wonderful. The hotel is close to everything. There are lots of eating establishments and stores close by. Even a cinema around the corner.

The room was a very generous size overlooking the Old Town which was stunning with the mountains as a backdrop. The bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast was very good and all of the staff that we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for visiting all of the principal sites on foot. We would definitely return there and would highly recommend it.

However, the hotel advertises itself as wheelchair accessible and claims to offer parking, which is misleading. There is no designated parking available; instead, guests are directed to a public parking lot approximately half a kilometer from the hotel. Additionally, the claim of accessibility falls short; access is through the back entrance, and the rooms themselves are not suitable for wheelchair users. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience and quality the hotel offers still make it worth the effort and the investment.

The Stien Hotel boasts an excellent location. The rooms are outstanding, and the breakfast on the hotel's rooftop, offering views of Salzburg, is an experience worth seeking out even if you're not staying at the hotel. The staff are helpful, kind, and truly first-class, exceeding all expectations

Lovely hotel, very clean, very friendly staff. Great location next to the river and a few minutes walk into the old town. Our room had fantastic views of the mountains, castle and old town. Superb roof terrace and the place to be on a sunny afternoon.

The Gym is very limited and has only 2 sit on bikes for machines.

Style of hotel. Location and staff. There is cycle and pedestrian routes running along the river which is great way to explore and take in the sights.

We enjoyed staying here very much. Our main reason was to see the Krampus Run and we had a blast. I came back with a couple of bruises from the Krampuses getting a little too rough with their sticks, but that's to be expected when you are right in front of the crowd watching. We would definitely stay here again. I think the name of the lady at the front desk was Andrea. She was delightful and very helpful providing information.
