How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The place is just like in the pictures—clean and cozy. Everything's on point. It's not in city center, but trams and buses make it easy. The host has you covered with everything you need. Super happy with my stay, totally recommend it!

Petra was very responsive and helpful. The bed was extra comfy, while still being firm. It looked like the kitchen was well stocked with all you would need to cook. I did not do any cooking so cannot tell you if anything was missing. The fact that the apartment was only 1 block from the #2 tram and there was a Billa Supermarket and a Lidl at the intersection where the tram stopped was fantastic!

The apartment is in the suburbs of Vienna, but it has convenient public transportation to the center of the city which is about 20 minutes ride.
Petra was very nice and even waited for our arrival which was late in the evening. The apartment was well equipped and had everything you need, including washing machine, dishwasher and house tools. The apartment was also very clean. There are also a lot of supermarkets in the neighborhood.

The apartment is nice and comfortable. The host is welcoming and ready to help. The location has a descent transport connection. Fits perfectly for a long stay.

The electric oven was really slow, it took around 20 mins to boil the water. And it was a bit cold in the apartment the first night but then I have adjusted the heating.
Everything was great! Check in was smooth and easy, apartment is located not centrally but very good connected with trams (15 mins to city center). The place is very clean and comfy.

Sadly the neighbours were a bit loud on one day, but thats outside of the hosts control.
The apartment is very nice and clean. You're close to convenience stores, the Manner (a Austrian confectionery from Vienna) shop and well connected in regards to public transport. The host was very responsive and left clear instructions as well as some recommendations.

I didn't find any major troubles concerning the facilities. But if I want to get picky and critical, I should say the pillow could be a bit bigger:)
I liked practically everything about my stay. The apartment is spacious, stylish, cozy, lit and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The location is also nice - I was taking tram 44 or 2 which would get me directly to/from the city centre in just 15 mins. Petra sent me all the info about the check-in shortly before I arrived so it was not a problem at all to a) find the building, b) find the entrance, c) find the flat and enter it. During my stay I used the iron, hairdryer, could control the temperature inside the apartment. The bed is really comfy. I didn't cook but if I needed to, I could find everything in the kitchen. Overall, this was a really great stay and the thing I liked the most about the flat was that it had a touch of Petra's personality (as far as I can judge).

Apartment very nice, spacious and clean, access to all conveniences. The place is well connected with the city center - close to the bus and tram stop. Also access to shops nearby.

Everything was fine.
The apartment is really well designed. We loved there everything from living room to the small kitchen in the corridor and the bathroom. And we were really surprised with the hospitality we were greeted from the beginning: flowers on the table and jar of marmalade plus nice tips where to go around the district. And fully equipped kitchen. Thank you one more time for this great stay.

The two flights of stairs to the apt were hard with a suitcase. The directions to the apt didn't take into account the lift being out of order at the Opera. Again two massive flights of stairs with a suitcase. If I was younger, this probably wouldnt've been a problem. I was woken every morning at 6am by the TV in the next apartment.
It had all the facilities I needed. I booked it because it had a washing machine. Tablets for the machine and dishwasher were included. The bed was very comfortable. The person in charge was helpful and answered any questions I had. There were two tram lines 20 metres away.

The only downside (for me only!) was a very soft mattress in bed, but I know that there are people who like such mattresses.
Apartment very nice, bright, comfortable - with all amenities including washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc. The landlord is very friendly, very helpful, answers questions quickly - only superlatives.
