How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Upon arrival we were well received, escorted to the apartment and all features pointed out. The apartment is well proportioned and we made use of the sofa bed to give three colleagues each their own bed. We were well advised on local restaurants as well as some tourist points for the day of leisure we had.

The apartment was 20 minutes walk away from the old town, but also situated in a residential area with a wide selection of restaurants and shops. The main area, comprising bedroom, kitchen, lounge and dining was very spacious and well equipped. There was a separate bathroom and entrance hall. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

No cleaning for entire stay (4 day), not even the trash was removed
Good size, can accommodate 4/5 family. 5 minutes walk to multiple public transportation connections, enough kitchen tools for basic needs

The floor cracks a little bit but it was alright
All the staff was friendly and helpful specially Liza because we were in contact with her. The apartment was recently renewed and was perfect for us.

The one thing we didn't like were the pillows...they didn't have enough support. But other than that, the rooms were comfortable and spacious.
It was a very enjoyable stay and as advertised. The fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus. It was also very easy to access the train. We could get to downtown (Stephansplatz) in about 20 minutes from the apartment.

The apartment is clean. Parking is possible in the garage for EUR 22 per day. Surcharge for a dog EUR 8. If we ever come back, we will definitely rent the same apartment because it is a 10-minute walk from the city center and close to the main sights.

Very spacious appartment, fully equipped and next to metro station which made it easy to travel. Appartment was warm and cosy and had everything we needed inside.

There is no sink in the toilet room, so you have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands. The parking is a bit expensive.
The location is great and it was quite easy to go to the city center either by metro or on foot. The staff was super friendly, and the guy from the reception gave us a lot of useful recommendations. Indoor parking is located on the neighbor street and totally worth it, because it is hard to find a free parking space in this area.

We liked the communication of the team, they answered all questions, they were in touch from the minute we did reservarion. Also the place was clean, easy to find, close to the U station and in a quiet neighborhood. It seems they prepared well: there a sheets of paper where you can find their recommendations for places to visit or eat. More than half job done for tourist who is not ready

- the rollaway bed is a bit short- may not fit a 6 feet tall person- 172cm and the feet kept bumping to the bed frame. - The shower head holder is not working - pillows are way too soft/flat
-It’s been renovated with carefully interior designed in IKEA ways - so the space could fit 3 people while having good space for bathroom and mudroom. -Very close to supermarket thus could bring the foods/drinks easily.
