When we arrived, there were no pillows and there was only one duvet. Since it was late, we had to take them from an empty room. There was also some hair in the bathroom, and some mild stains on the sheet.

The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also very good. We arrived very late due to severe train delays, but we were able to just get the key at the counter and enter our room.

Decoration is very religious (paintings, crucifixes and so on all over the property) It can get quite overwhelming and intimidating for someone who is not familiar with such a thing. Wifi is turned-off at 11pm by the hosts.

Accommodation was lovely but quite expensive for the level of facilities provided. For instance, for the cost of the accommodation, I had expected a hot breakfast in addition to the standard buffet.

It was hot in the room even though it was not hot outside, just a typical April day (chilly/rainy). I definitely would not stay here in summer. There was evidence of mold in the bathroom. The shower was tiny, like a shower in a travel trailer. It was wholly uninviting. We decided to just be dirty rather than squeeze into that tiny shower. We had received an email advising us to pick up our Mozartkugeln (chocolate) upon checkout but sadly we were informed that there were none. The room itself was clean and spacious, but extremely hot. We left the windows open to cool it down, but without screens on the windows, the bugs came in. Our kids were terrified when a big hornet was buzzing around in the room. The price was low compared to all the other hotels in the area, and the location was great. This place is fine for one night on a budget.

Didn't like the cobwebs on the ceiling, dead insects in the light fixtures, fungus between the tiles, and rust on some of the metal things. But even these shortcomings perfectly fit the style of the hotel and reminded me of my beloved grandmother's house.

When I arrived during the day to leave my luggage, I was told that the room wasn't ready yet, and that it was going to be done later. I was also given a choice between the two rooms in the attic, one of which didn't have a single working bulb. Actually, most sockets were just empty. So I chose the other room. But when I returned back to the hotel at 9 pm, tired after all the walking that I'd done during the day, I found that my room was still not ready. There was trash in the bin, and old sheets on the bed, and I'm not even talking about general cleaning. The only response from the host was: "Sorry". They didn't even understand how unacceptable this kind of service was! Plus, yes, the place is creepy, especially at night. Don't go there if you're not into Christian symbols all over the place

As I'm working as a CSI it was a bit disconcerting to notice the blood stain pattern on the wall above my bed when I was leaving. Had I seen it before I went to bed, I would probably not stayed there. What have happened here? I reckon there were very old stains, but still. Why not do something about the walls? And throw away the horrible dry soaps in the bathroom.

Breakfast was fine, nice room to eat in, many things to choose from on the breakfast buffet. Kind lady took care of breakfast.

However they lack a bit in cleaning. The sheets and towels were clean, but the sofa and chairs were stained. There is also a lot of furniture stacked everywhere, that could be removed and would make the house look nicer, cleaner.
